因为？ 因为医学院的教学任务少，可以集中精力做研究，而且启动经费一般也多一些
。但是坏处就是来源于教学的铁工资比较少。 生物系正好倒过来。

will determine how much you will be teaching. My chairman is very good at
protecting new PI, I only taught 10 hours last year.

样子，就取决于你是否有天牛，以及人缘如何了。如果你没有天牛而且人缘也不好，那
么很快就在年底审评的时候让你过不了然后名正言顺的把你开了。如果你有天牛但是人
缘不太好，那么系里就严格按照合同来克扣你的工资，然后用各种冷言冷语来折磨你，
直到你自动告退为止。如果你有天牛，而且人缘非常好，那么系里就会让你去承担各种
行政和教学职务，用那些来付你的全额工资。

currently funded by a institutional NIH training grant), and a post-doc.
However, it will be tight. There is also a cut to the modular budget, they
will probably only pay me around 220k (I hope for more because my grant is
from NCI) a year if I'm lucky. I know a NIGMS grant got funded this year
only got 190k...
Since I'm more in the translational area, I'm currently working on another
R01 and a SBIR grant.
