this gun is for home defense. Therefore, it shouldn't be too heavy because
my mom is going to use it too.

Better add the "Mesa Tactical LEO hydraulic Recoil Buffer stock", so that
even a teenager can comfortably shoot the 12 GA full house slugs or 00
buckshots.

发帖数: 106 | 4 Price tag is not the major factor for defense pump shotgun as long as it
functions reliably. Even sub $200 pump shotgun like Mervick 88 and hawk 981/
982, they will serve you well. It is a defense shotgun; just put a good led
light on it minimized the extra weight.
Save the extra hundreds of dollars on shells and training class to practice
so you and your parents can work the action reliably. |

发帖数: 4534 | 5 A 12 gauge shotgun should weight around 8-8.5 lbs. If it's too light the
felt recoil would be hard to handle.
Stay clear of PGO (pistol-grip only), those are hard to shoot; or any of the
recoil absorbing stocks. They are either spring loaded or hydraulic, they
may reduce some felt recoil, but too much rearward movement of the gun means
improper cheek weld or get smacked in the face by the receiver.
An 18.5" - 20" barrel shotgun with traditional rifle stock is your best bet,
you can slip on a limb saver on the stock to reduce felt recoil.
I personally use mossbeg 590 fitted with tacstar sidesaddle and streamlight

instructor or competition shooter what their opinion is. Actually, try and
find anyone who had won anything in the history of shooting sports with that
stock.

recoil pad, 增加“不动部件”的长度， 就没有大胡子被弹簧夹住的可能。

Yes the gun may still fire no matter how shitty the stock is. The problem
will be revealed when you take it through an intense shooting course such as
a competition or shotgun drill.

发帖数: 282 | 17 我的是18吋管，6发弹筒，蛋筒前端加装了flashlight, 伸缩枪托后面自带一片软垫，
有标准的铁瞄。后座还好，并无不舒适感
买前知道很多人不喜欢pistol grip, 但我喜欢它的样子。而且感觉在家里狭窄空间握
手枪把走来走去比较方便，不容易碰东西。似乎做tactical loading时也更舒服一些，
前题是练好腕力
打霰弹时铁瞄用处不大，但也许哪天会试试slug打远距，就有用了，有备无患吧
总之区别不很大，看个人好恶吧
