If you have one of the thermostat that have a filter change reminder
functionl, you can just follow it. It basically calculate how many hours the
fan is running and tell you its time to change the filter. Make sure you
reset the reminder when you do change.
Some system use thicker filter (4 inch) that has a lot more surface area,
may only need to be changed once a year, most of the time once every 3 month
, I change mine every 30 days.

发帖数: 4125 | 10 Compressor itself needs nothing, its completely sealed at the factory.
The condensers coils need to cleaned by low pressure water once a year to
maintain good air flow. If the fins are bent, HVAC store sell a special comb
that can be used to straighten them out.

我打开看没什么按钮啊. 我们家的空调今天第一次开, 一楼的是好的,
二楼的好像是坏的, 压缩机里的风扇都不转, 我用筷子也没能拨起来.
两个压缩机旁边的墙上各有个盒子, 我打开又没看出啥名堂. 我们是
冬天买的房子, 空调没检查过, 住进来３个月今天第一次开空调. 房
子是新的, 不过也盖好有１年多了, 但是之前没卖出去. 是不是只能
找Ｂｕｉｌｄｅｒ了啊? 可是Ｂｕｉｌｄｅｒ很拖拉, 今天很热. 如
果只是什么开关没开而已就好了. 谢谢啦.

working on the unit. Sometime builder put fuse in it, you can just put
copper tube in its place if you want to. Not every where in US have this
requirement by code, but I begin to see it more and more often.
If you bought the house recently, have builder fix it under warranty,
actually builder will just call the HVAC subcontractor to fix it for you,
should be no charge at all.

里面有嗡嗡的电流声, 前段时间嫌吵, 我们把它们的电源关了, 不过现在要开空调
也已经重新开了, 我知道Ｆｕｒｎａｃｅ在阁楼上, 那请问阁楼上还有什么会控制空
调的吗?

发帖数: 9606 | 18 是的, 刚开始还以为是冰箱启动的声音, 后来发现不是, 还琢磨了很久才发现.
那个声音在阁楼上不大, 但是贴着阁楼地板(正好也是楼梯拐角处的天花板)传
下来得到放大, 晚上安静的时候就能听到很清楚. 后来把那些机器的电源关了
就没有了. 只是一到开空调的时候又得去打开.

difference. lz happened to get the not so good one.
