she was in-patient for 6 days until she was discharged. She doesn't have any
insurance. I am still waiting for the bill from the hospital. I am just
wondering if anyone has similar experiences or any suggestion for the bill

responsible for the cost of her treatment, not you. However, not paying the
bill might potential jeopardize her future prospects of life in the US, eg
credit history, or even green card (not sure about this though). If you do
intend to pay the bill, you should definitely negotiate with the billing
department for a better price, because usually the amount hospital charges
will be much higher than the amount hospital expects to receive if patient

them your mom has no insurance and no income as well. |
