现在一看, 纪律严明？ with honor? 道德水准比普通人低了一大截。
宽厚仁慈？ janitor韩战老兵，根本不敢上报，"football runs this university",
闹了半天，penn state football就是个黑社会。
乐善好施？second mile那一堆小童呢？
winningest，过去60年都是他，真想不明白penn state还留着football干啥。 |

暗的还真是冤超出普通人的想象。
仔细想想也不奇怪，刚开始校方也不觉得窟窿有多大，所以就隐瞒，然后就是不得不隐
瞒了。

RE: Contrary to What You Have Heard, the Freeh Report has Big Pr
The "report" is what it is, incomplete and a judgement, i.e. conclussion
based on available evidence.
It has gaps and is not complete without interviewing MOST of the people, it
has to make judgements. Based on what they could drudge up, the opinions
are valid, but it still has gaps and missing pieces.
The trial MAY provide more details. Would this hold up in court? It could
easily be dissected and reasonable doubt could EASILY be established.
BECAUSE this involves Paterno, people expected conclussions on him. Be
careful what you ask for. If this happened in another department there
would be no report, no news media, etc.. and probably no conviction - having
Paterno linked to ALL of this makes it news. A report without conclusions
of his actions would also be considered weak or further talk of covering up.
For now, the tidal wave will continue but it will soon subside and retreat.
I suspect the crescendo is approaching once the statue is no longer news or
threats of lawsuits specifically against Paterno are addressed.
Crucifying Paterno will satisfy MOST of the critics, then we can move on and
the Freeh Report allows the beginning of the end to happen - despite flaws
and gaps. The Masses have found their monster and the pitchfork carrying
mob will soon fade.

感觉是吹捧出来的，就是在一个地方呆久了成习惯了没被炒而已
