it was my first time backpacking and mountaineering experience and it was a
fun trip.
the weather forecast was clear with 5mph wind and warm temperature.
we started saturday afternoon in bunny flat trail header at 7000ft.the trail
head was well covered with 5 ft of snow and we had to climb up the snow
wall from parking lot to get to the trail.we backpacked to horse camp at
8000ft.
we started to climb around 2 a.m. on sunday morning. one t |

Nice TR and pictures.
Just one suggestion: next time, either do car camping at trail head, and
start at 2am next morning for a day hike, or camp at Helen lake for a two-
day climb.

是不是7000ft的trail head和8000ft的horse适应海拔差不多，Backpacking带的东西太
多？

the benefit of altitude acclimation.

probably the night before was not cold enought to make that happen or we
were not at that altitute early enough.

下午两三点之前都不错，后来太软了。
我这周末还去，带ski。
打算周六下午走，在车里睡觉，早上五点开爬，不准备登顶，下午三点换ski往回滑。
这周降温，可能上午雪会非常硬。
