before telnet, setenv TERM rtsec
then telnet, directly login into root shell without prompting for
username or password.
Looked at in.telnetd, seems to be ok. don't know what they did on the system
Have to reinstall system and apply patch.
Security officer says it is a known attack that has been patched by Sun |
