其实还是那个印裔的新加坡人说得最好,西方人早就习惯了拿他们几亿人的价值观去
衡量其他几十亿人,还自以为代表全世界。就从 choi 引的那几段来说,"But now
across the globe China is dropping in the polls",也不知道引了几个国家的数
据,就敢大言不惭地说 "across the globe"。

was very popular in Cultural Revolution. Even among youth in the West at the
time (Apparently, Ernesto "Che" Guevara has retained popularity but not
Mao.) To this day, there are still Maoists in Nepal (those in Peru were
killed off).

I think it's a understatement to say "there are still Maoist" about Nepal.
After all, the Maoist party won the recent democratic election (which is
the first ever in its history) in Nepal.
