I knew PNW 6.0 team. Their 3.0 men of played 4.0 doubles well. I thought he
can dominate 6.0 national. I was wrong.

发帖数: 10373 | 3 According to this board, CA 4.0 is even weaker than 3.5 in other places. It
means it requires CA 4.5 to match up 3.5 or 4.0 in other place. So don't
complain, it is fair!

- for local playoff to section, you have to sandbag at least 0.5.
- for national champ, you have to sandbag at least 1.0 or higher

发帖数: 9606 | 5 PNW 6.0's man are very strong. Actually, all top 4 teams are close.
All have a bunch of sandbaggers. The 2.5 girl in Hawaii's #1 team
was like a strong 3.5 and the boy is a 4.0. PNW pairs are more even
except one pair. Overall, they are better team than us since we lost
our #1 pair before National due to DQ and some other teamates can
not make the trip:( We got the weakest flight, all other 3 teams are
too weak to give us some real practices. Flight #1 is a deadly group.
Three teams are very strong. Hawaii played slightly better and got
advanced. These helpped them a lot. We lost our tension after we won
our flight in the first day. We even visited a museum on the second
day and wasted a lot of energy :( I did not pay much attention to
other two groups since we will not meet them until SF/Final. But
the overall level of SF and F acutally not that high, worse than
the Eastern sectional. Might because of the weather and pressure.
The weather was terrible for the last two days, especially for the
final day, very windy and cold in the morning. I played like a 2.5
in the last day. I do not know how can I play that bad! I played
really well for the past months, but suddently I lost my serve and
forehand. We got a dream lineup against Hawaii. We gave up #1 and
I got their #2 pair at #3 double. Even I played like 2.5, I still
got chance to serve out for the first set at 5:4, largely because
my LD played her best match so far :) Too bad I could not find my
game at all in the final day. If I could play like a 3.0, we would
have the chance to fight in final. Anyway, we are happy enough to
get into the national. Every team has 10+ people except our team :P
This is a great experience for us. Hope next year we will have
chance to fight again.
