presence of lead-based paint。不过agent不推荐做，原因是1.以后卖这个房子比较
麻烦，需要解释当初做这个评估的原因，2. County的规定是租出去的房子需要做，买
卖的房子不需要。3.旁边的一个county规定1950年前的房子才需要做， 4. 99.9%的情
况下查不出来，因为房子都刷过了。

。新知识教她1-2遍就懂了，并且不容易忘。5岁多就教到4年级内容了。后来她爸反对
教太多，就停止了。大概8个月前，就没有再继续教数学了。这段时间看房买房暑假出
去玩，我确实也没再管她学习上的事了。
这次做assessment的时候，我没有跟老师聊过任何她的情况，老师也没有问。就带着她
进去问了一些问题，看了一些书，就出来了。我问女儿问的什么问题，她也说不清楚。
但是她确信老师没有问她数学题目什么的。
就像你们说的，公立老师真的不把数学超前当回事的。他们觉得孩子gifted，还是看孩
子其他一些反应什么吧，人家老太太工作了四五十年，看过无数的孩子，肯定有经验了。 |

assessment不会考数学的，据说测智商，考gifted program什么的都不会考纯粹数学题
目的。。。。主要是老中们比较重视推数学，老外们真的不在乎的。
不过我还是觉得他们说话比较夸张，gifted估计就是比较聪明的那种意思
吧。整个世界上的天才数目用脚趾头都能数过来。哪会那么容易轮上一个啊。 |

会发现有些专业的top10 school faculty的平均引用率比你自己的高很多，此时要么不
claim, 要么自取其辱。HOWEVER, 有趣的是数据库A DATA-BASED ASSESSMENT OF
RESEARCH DOCTORATE PROGRAMS IN THE U.S 的相关参数都不是很高，但这个数据库也
是由权威机构发布，所以如果您舍不得在petition letter 里不claim这一项，那就可
以用这个数据库。
用法：
1）选择相关专业，依据r-ranking， 列出 top 10 school, 以
及faculty 平均发表文章数和平均引用数；
2) 用你的平均引用率（总引用次数／总文章数目）和发表文章数目
，与列表中的两个参数相比较；

ACS说qualification通过了，experience没有通过，因为我没有四年工作经验。我的情
况是这样的，PhD in Computer Science，工作有Research Assistant一年八个月，
Research Fellow 一年三个月。记得以前版上的大侠说PhD会被考虑进工作经验里，看
来我的RP比较差。:-(
这样说来，我有机会appeal吗？还是必须要等到四年工作经验才能重新申请？

说是根据2011年的sales定的，可是有的家涨的几千而已，有些还降了
town怎么定各家的asessed value啊?可以argue的吧。

2BRCONDO要800多一个月。
因为旧的大楼维修费用还是很贵的。
CHINATOWN华阜广场附近那些CONDO的ASSESSMENT费比较低。
这是很多人不想买CONDO的一个重要原因。
当然很多事都有两面。CONDO近，方便，安全。。。
另外还要看你地税是多少。 |

这个见仁见智，每个家庭的情况都不一样，不是太有可比性。麻州是平均教育水平高，
一大堆学校水平接近，难分高下。伊州就那么几所好学校，基本上就是跟本校的学生比
。要拼娃的当然去麻州，不想拼的在伊州也行。带着AP课的学分去UIUC的学会计，四年
硕士都毕业了，何必非去Tufts？
工作机会也是两边各有自己的领域，很多并不重叠。我即认识伊州去麻州的，也认识麻
州来伊州的。
