标 题: 【求助】转行大难题求建议

求各位ex-, current-hellmates建议指路！
我的现状对于转行这个目的来说就像全身肿瘤转移，全是问题。但我深切地想转行cs、
bioinfo或biostat，而且最近偷偷跟了udacity的python课，真的很喜欢编程这种纯靠
逻辑、定义明确的东西。
地理位置：中国
个人：生物类美国PhD回国青教3年，发现自己不适合也不擅长以科研为生，只想要个平
凡稳定有技术性的工作做到退休
出国和未来找工都有身份问题：大龄<35，单身女，已有美国PHD（这三项不管申J1还是
F1签证都是赤裸裸的移民倾向）；无卡、不够EB1A，唯一好点儿的是phd毕业后没申opt
就回去了，再上master的话应该还有opt
用博后做跳板希望渺茫：博士期间太没规划，基本的生物技术都没学、科研思维也很一
般，现在申请美加的博后没人理，即使有老板要我，能不能撑到j1 waiver也是... 阅读全帖 |

问题是在bioinfo里面很多软件都没有图形界面，如果你只会点鼠标能用的软件很有限。
速度上会有差别，因为图形界面需要更多的资源，但都在可以接受的范围内。 |

ChemE, Chem or physics all can become a binfo faculty. |

are still working on the three areas you mentioned. Why don't you apply to
continue your work and take full advantage of your experience.
So many people are jumping into bioinfo. It's going to be full soon and people
will want to switch again. Be careful when you plan to compete in an extremely
hot area. |

find a postDoc (because open positions are limited).
btw, here I exclude bioinfo as a CS field. In some sense, it more like
recruiting postdoc is similar to bio field's case too.
