percent of the evaluations released have been judged ABETequivalent". It is
CRAZY.
Also, looks like "certain approved programs in India would become recognized
" in the near future by CPEES.

yet. I used to ask CPEES the same question.
CPEES does not evaluate your Chinese MS degree and they don't care about
your US degree. All the documents related to the BS degree have to come
directly from your Chinese University. |

发帖数: 1940 | 6 Used to be ECEI, later on, ECEI is out of business for evaluation, then
almost all the states switched to CPEES now. I think if you passed ECEI, it
should be fine. At least last year, ECEI or CPEES are both shown on the
requirement in many states (either one is ok). But who knows if some states
delete the ECEI in their list, they may accept CPEES only. So why just send
email to the board you want to apply PE exam to ask? |

verified with my shcool in China, I got evaluation report this past March or
April. I passed. It seems like that I am the one only in this board who
reports a pass instead of a failure. |

一、学校的官方成绩单里有学校证明过的额外加盖公章的学位复印件；
二、原学位证书每人只有一个，丢失不补。"
安全起见，本人不想冒这个险。
ORIGINAL 学位证书 and 毕业证书 are a MUST for such stupid evaluation.
you better send them or forget about such eval.
"想参加FE，Board需要来自CPEES的大学教育评估报告。"
you can always apply for other state boards which do not require eval at all
. then simply request for out-of-state proctor in order to sit for exam in
you home state.
"后来我问CPEES能否接受系里的章，他们拒绝回答。"
this should work, at least for more stupid ECEI.. |

Transcipt and Degree: I used the same thing as that I used to apply to
school for admission.
Course Discription: I translated from Chinese to Enghlish and got signature
from Dean(XiZhuRen).
I didn't ask CPEES if they would accept a course discription signed by Dean.
I just did my best to get those documents and mailed to CPEES. |

Description上盖章.为这事,我和CPEES一个什么DIRECTOR argue了好久,可人家就是不
松口,说别人都提供了(同一所学校).我差点就说,那肯定是伪造的.我都差点放弃了(反
正是公司要我在其他几个州注册才需要的,最多在那几个州不做PE了).但后来那个
DIRECTOR说,系里盖章就行,中文的也可以(系里还真不会给英文的Course Description
盖章).
最后把所有的东东寄走了,才发现要求由学校直接寄,他NND!国内学校谁给你寄国际邮件
啊!也不知道有没有问题.
坚决支持控告CPEES.按他们的政策,老子在很多州,永远做不了PE! |

Even I told them Tsinghua University seal the transcripts and the copy of
degree verification (with original Tsinghua University stamp on it) together
, they won't accept the copy one.
Now Tsinghua University provide online verification; after you input the
degree verification number, you will see the information about this student,
graduation from which department, degree, something that. But CPEES refuse
to do that.

. I was told that they don't care about my Master's or PhD degree. They only
evaluate my Chinese Bachelor's degree. I was so scared that I just gave up.
The CPEES evaluation is ridiculous.
In my opinion, NCEES should change the evaluation rule as follows:
If somebody has an advanced degree (Master's or PhD or both) from an US ABET
university, the evaluation of his/her foreign Bachelor's degree should be
waived.

发帖数: 20 | 15 成绩单的确得从国内寄,我就是托我国内同学帮我开的中,英文成绩单,然后直接寄到
CPEES的.课程描述是自己凭记忆弄出来的,偷懒了一下用的只是英文,然后让系里盖了个
章.
整个过程挺长的,从开始申请到拿到评估报告花了4个多月.按照CPEES的标准需要120个
学分,包括:
Math/Science: 32 creidt hours
Humanities: 16 credit hours
Engineering/Surveying: 48 credit hours
Elective/other: 24 hours
我还算走运通过了,不过我本科是五年而且同时修了双学位(大概多了15门课),但最后评
估下来的结果如下:
Math/Science: 37 creidt hours
Humanities: 20 credit hours
Engineering/Surveying: 68 credit hours
Elective/other: 35 hours
看起来前两项可能不太容易通过. |

CPEES results several weeks ago. The results were:
1) 2 credit hours deficiency in math and basic science.
2) 1 credit hour deficiency in humanities and social science.
The above results were only evaluation of my bachelor's degree. I got master
's degree in china too. The board said it is ok because my master's courses
covered all the deficiencies.

There was a little trick: my university was not willing to send my documents
(transcript, course description, degree certificate) to oversea. They only
sealed and stamped on the envelops and gave to my friend in china, then my
friend put all documents in a big envelop then sent to CPEES. It worked
anyway. |

Georgia registered PE. I am applying PE in other states, used CPEES service.
I downloaded course descriptions from my university website (only in
Chinese). I translated them to English and sent to CPEES. still waiting for
their decision. |

Georgia registered PE. I am applying PE in a few other states, using NCEES
record service (by which I don't have to do the same application procedure
for every state). All required documents were sent to CPEES last week. I am
waiting for CPEES decision. We will see whats going to happen. |

没有用的。不可能通过的。
本人就是鲜活的例子。浪费无数的时间(超过三个月)和精力，还是不通过。
简直是可笑至极，清华四年本科+三年研究生竟然达不到abet普通土木工程本科的标准
！！！
还是搬家到不需要评估的地方吧，例如加州。要不然即使USA Master and 考过PE，短时间也拿不到执照
，简直气死了！他们的评估标准就是专为美国大学设立的，我们中国的学校没戏。
奉劝大家不要浪费时间和精力了！ |

这个CPEES是NCEES指定的取代以前的ECEI的评估工程本科学历的。
我于1999毕业于浙大的土木系，拿咱们学校的成绩单去评估，最终的结果是数学方面的
基础课差4个学分！！！
真是不能想象！浙大都不行...
我打算和他们谈，需要校友们的支持。弄个联名什么的，有愿意的就知会一声！
这家机构非常可恶，里面还有一个李姓中国人呢。可是他们的评估结果对于学工程的是
很重要的。凡是要考PE, FE, 需要本科学历省工作经历的都必须通过他们的认可。 |

这是个很重要的东西！你在工程版可以看到很多讨论也。

with the accreditation itself.We might be able to do something to correct
this.As I understand it,NCEES,CPEES,board, all follow ABET criteria, but
does ABET give guidelines ho to evaluate the credits from other countries?
kind of frustrating, I took advanced math (2 semeters, 6 credits each
semester),general chemistry, generl physics(2 semester), gology,linear
algebra,etc. still failed.

The reason is I got too much credit on Engineering. I have total 228 credits
for my BS degree.
Under current CPEES system, someone from China will get great chance to pass
if he/she only has around 130 credits for his/her BS degree.
One of the reasons of this evaluation is to "Make foreign degree worse than
USA degree", that is the goal. It is our personal choice to do evaluation,
to get PE in USA, to stay in USA. If yo |
