标 题: root canal做错牙齿了，求解决方案

今天上午，我LD去牙医那儿做根管治疗，出了一些问题。我不知道如何处理，所以在这
里请教大家。
事情是这样的，我LD的第8个牙齿在牙龈上有个小包，所以她的dentist refer她去做根
管治疗。在做根管治疗时，进行了一个多小时，期间我由于等的太久，从而进去问医生
怎么回事。此时才得知他们在第7个牙齿上进行了治疗。后来我问我妻子，得知期间由
于治疗时间过长麻药失效而重新注射了麻药。
从牙医给我展示的片子看来，在第7个牙齿里面根本没有infection；第8个牙齿的
infection是非常明显的。牙医当时跟我说，第7个牙齿也是有问题的，做root canal是
迟早的事；然后她愿意do us a favor，为我LD做2个root canal，只收一个钱，并且愿

I go to a dentist covered by my dental plan. For a crown job, all I need to
cover is the $50 deductable. My boss goes to a dentist outside of our plan

Dentist from China can go to international dentist program here (2 years).
The admission test is NBDE. Many US dental schools have international
dentist program.
Graduates from both programs can directly practice general dentistry in US

They did the exam this time. Clearly you didnt go to the dentist for
cavities because you had no prior knowledge of cavities. How could you book a cavity filling appt?

learned that recently when i transferred to a new dentist w/o transferring
my previous files. But the new dentist office clerk is very helpful and she
said that they could adjust the codes and refile with the insurance company.

to pay a lot money. Clean is free.
Usually, the insurance don't cover the filling or other treatment at first 6
month for the new costumer. But there is no problem for the clean and x-ray
.
If you didn't see your bill, don't worry about it too much.
It is better find a dentist who can speak Chinese for you if you have no
idea for the treatment. Dentist usually charge A LOT if insurance doesn't

private, they don't share medical records unless you bring your old records
to the new dentist. They need an evaluation on your bones as well as your
overall cleaness. Not all the tartar and calculus can be seen easily by
visual exam and probing. The hidden ones will show in x ray films. The
dentists will see your x ray first to determine where the buildups are.

I would still go to talk to the higher rank of billing person or dentist
himself (if it is his own practice) in person if possilbe. Telling him that
both of you are students (or say something your hubby just lost a job, and
didn't expect such a big bill , blahblah....). It worthy to try again with
the dentist or the billing department head if it is a bigger practice.
Usually the billing cleark only has a minor authority for a small adjustment. |

上午的宣讲还凑活，就是讲一些基本的投资策略，以及退休理财的重要性，对于工科生
，基本也make sense, 但是谈到收益率的时候，我问了拉我入会的人，有没有除掉
inflation，他说没有，我自己减了一下，上面的数字也就不剩下多少了。我又问保证
的收益怎么做到，总不能无中生有吧，他说靠手续费，我就懂了。其实七七八八算下来
，这些他们所说的最近很火的VUL，IUL，主要还是靠手续费和inflation支撑着收益率
。对了，VUL，IUL就是life insurance...
我又问他有没有相关的资质，他说他三个月考了两证，由于对方也是屁爱着地，所以开
始还挺佩服，回来一查，发现不会是什么正规的license，因为CFP要上六门课，CPA更
夸张了，他一有全职工作的，总不能通宵达旦干三个月把六门课都过了，还考两天的试
吧（光cfp）。。。而且还有另一张证。。。
然后我又问这个需不需要数学（因为他跟我说是family financial planner），他说不

planing. 可是那天我根本就没去看她。保险公司查的不紧，已经付了近600刀给她。以
前我也没太留意她的账单，老是添加一些昂贵且没有提供的服务，骗保险公司的钱。

在哪里？

发帖数: 1347 | 44 I did called all our PCP, Dentist, pedestrian, kids' dentist,
Some just gave our chart for free. Some move our charts to storage.
I thanked all of them for their wonderful services and canceled all upcoming
appointments.
I will do the same thing again this summer due to another move.
And ask to see some providers right before our move, if you have kids, you
need to have all those records for school also.
It will take time to find new ones and there may be lap between your
insurances.

refer oral surgeon. 这样的话收费估计贵些。如果发炎的话，不知道会不会让你先吃
抗生素再说。
不管怎样，还是赶紧找个医生，别小病拖成大病。有些个别例子感染会蔓延到颅内，那
就真要影响智商了。（just joking). |

发帖数: 154 | 47 用google map，直接输入dentist，你的地图上就会跳出很多牙医诊所，而且很多都有
review。一般牙医诊所也就是一两个牙医，有些专做dental surgon的牙医会多一点。
然后自己打电话去预约。
你现在需要把你那颗疼的先拔掉，剩下的等回国或等你工作有保险了再去拔。拔一颗牙
齿的话局部麻醉就可以了，全麻的话就没有办法开车了。我当年一口气拔了3颗智齿也
用的是局麻，然后拔完后马上自己开车回家了。
强烈建议你赶紧拔掉，我有一颗智齿也是躺下来了，结果把边上的那颗牙齿也戳了个缺
口出来，而且最大的问题是牙床给陷下去了，智齿旁边那颗牙齿可能以后也保不住了。
我第一次拔智齿也是牙疼得受不了了，然后是自费找了个小诊所拔的，找的是个女医生
，看她拔的特别费劲，最后花了100多一点，后面的3颗找的是dental surgon，当时是
family dentist refer的，因为有保险，好像没花多少钱。拔完之后吃了一、两天稀饭
和牛奶，可能我的痛感不厉害，麻药过后也没有吃医生给的止痛药。
你也不要比较看我们有的人费用高，有的费用低，其实具体还是要看你在的地方，还有

发帖数: 5 | 50 俺上星期拔了牙，现在恢复的很好。牙刚坏时很有些惊恐，因为n年前就听说美国看牙很
贵，来本版查了查，得到很好的经验，自己找了保险公司和牙医，现在把经验和大家分享
。
我是F2,买的老公的学校推荐的保险，牙保3百多（两人）。
智齿（上右）的filling掉了，没有发炎，对冷热不敏感，决定趁早拔掉。
首先研究了一下自己的牙保，发现我们的牙保卡两张写的都是lg的名字，问了保险公司，
没问题。
在电话簿上找离家近的牙医，打电话。首先问是不是自己牙保公司的Participating
dentist。如果不是不要去看，因为如果牙医charge你300$，保险公司讨价还价到200$，
那你就要付差价100$；如果是Participating dentist 你就不用付差价。
然后问是否接受new patient, 如果接受就问问做检查和拔牙要多少钱。
搞定牙医，打电话给保险公司确认cover 多少,也可以在保险公司寄来的benefit charter
上查到。一般检查是百分之百cover的, routine examination 45$，X-ray 10$;
拔牙175~220不等，cover 80 |
