thin but soon it worn out probably because I bite too hard. The second one
is thicker so I'm not feeling very comfortable at beginning. Eventually I'm

在国内的时候也弄过牙齿,因为蛀牙补过牙,也洗过牙,感觉国内的牙医都是全能人才,一

1. General Dentist 顾名思义, General Dentist主要做一般的牙齿检查或小手术,包
括一年两次的普检与洗牙,补牙,普通拔牙之类的操作.这里提一下,洗牙不是由牙医亲自
操作的,而是诊所的 Hygienist专职做这一项（我觉得做得比牙医好，因为我自己被牙
医在Hygienist不在的情况下整得很痛苦）.大部分美国人都有自己的 |

to change the Ful mouth Debridement as Dental Prophy. Basically, same

Debridement only done when you have a lot of denta calculus. But You
definitely can ask yur dentist to change the biling code. I usually help my

dentist just asked me to rinse 1-3 times with salt water during the first
two days.
My husband is going to have deep cleaning done next week and no antibiotics
are prescribed. And he has a different dentist.

I have the same concern before my wisdom teeth are extracted. Some
experience are:
1 Before making a decision to extract wisdom teeth, consult at least 2,
preferably 3 doctors. If all of them say you should have your teeth

2 Definitely have a surgeon do the operation. Usually the dentist will refer
a surgeon he knows. My feeling is, a good area and a good dentist usually

ur baby is only 3 years old. I don't think it is necessary to have it done,
unless ur baby is under high risk of getting cavities.
Pediatric dentist always charge more than general dentists.
Depending on the practice, sealants can charge from $25-$70 or above in

Did you get your mouth guard fitted by your dentist? It's not always a
perfect fit even though it's custom made. You need to go back to your
dentist and tell him the problems, and have him adjust the mouth guard for
you.
I choked on my mouth guard when I first wore it at night. It took me 2
trips to get it right, but it's perfect now. I've been wearing it for many
years now and there's not a problem with it. |

我还专门问过那专科医生，他说是crown引起的牙隧炎，因为我没有做crown之前是不疼
的。

, not a hospital). $200 should be enough for an initial evaluation + x-rays
. Antibiotic & painkiller prescriptions are not terribly expensive either.
Cost of treatment really depends on what the dentist finds, how soon things
need to be done, and how long your father plans to stay here. Regular
extractions and/or fillings are $100-200, and you can ask for a discount up

suggested me put ice on it as much as i can for about two days and then put
warmth on it for about 3 days. Will see dentist again next Monday.

warranted in your case. The irrigation (esp. with antibiotics) generally
gives a better chance of controlling bacteria that is causing your
periodontis.
As of the cost, the specialist would definitely charge more. You could
return to the general dentist to save $$.

about 60$ and up depends on how long the consultation is.
Because my general dentist only work with him, so I did not consult with the
Ortho, once I was in the office, he directly sent me to the x-ray lab and
that's it.
But he wants to charge me $165 for that visit. I don't feel fair, and don't
want to pay. I I don't pay,what sequences it could be? Will I be penalized

Whichever way you want. Some ppl prefer two visits and some
prefer getting it over with at once.
It depends on the case. Are the wisdom teeth giving you trouble
right now, or was the dentist merely giving a preventive suggestion.
Make sure the dentist explains the reason for graft, and what can
happen if it's not done. |

* 2.5 years is a bit of time. Maybe your current condition requires re-
doing it (the whole mouth or just some problem areas).
* Also, treatment protocols could be updated because of new drugs and
clinical research.
* Each dentist may have his/her protocol. But nobody can guarantee that you
won't EVER need another deep cleaning in the future (as long as you have
any teeth left). |

tooth needs a crown, the dentist here will not do the crown unless you re-
treat the root canal.
The standard for root canal therapy is very different between China and US.
Most root canals done in China will need to be re-treated by the standard
here, especially if the root canal is done a few years ago or in a smaller
cities in China. Only a few major dental schools in China are adopting the
