this (when i first started to watch), he and the other guy raised, re-raised
, and then shoved in a ROW. there's absolutely NO skill going on, just like
2 gamblers flip a coin.
after this hand, durrrr said, "let's play normal?"... then lasted about 1 hour
, and he lost $500K. one or 2 bad beats but he got lucky twice too, so
nothing really to complain about.

Durrrr build the pot unnecessarily with 27o. And he has a profit of 400k
already, the pot is only 160K on the river, but he risks all of his profit
with that crappy.

other than all in is giving up the pot. it comes down to whether he thinks

opponent well yet and paid the high tuition to find out. he needs a lot of
$ (if someone is going to back him) now and quite some luck to come back.
even with patrik, whom durrrr played thousands of hands with (even before
durrrr challenge), still, durrrr said he still found "new" patterns of
patrik in durrrr challenge which he didn't notice before.
i like OMGClayAiken's style better since it's more sustainable, hehe.

he said durrrr is ego-centric and arrogant to have this 3:1 challenge with
him (he beat durrrr badly before in NLHE), and durrrr has a few leaks.

in 2007, he said he lost $2M over the summer and down to last $1M, he almost
quit for good.
he didn't have big cashes in major tournaments.
fulltilt wants to sponsor him but so far no deal made yet, so he shouldn't
have much sponsorship $.
for his durrrr challenge, he's going to give anyone $1M if one can beat him
over 50K hands (very hard to finish in the end, even now, patrik is just
half way through). so i guess $1M still looks like some big $ to him.

didn't expect he lost 60万 again in the end at all.
durrrr got a big ego problem, and he's been researched too much by other
players.
he got big talent for sure, but i guess he'll not last for long.
if we look at the old guns who have survived all these decades, like doyle
family or johnny chan, now they actually play much less themselves, and make
big $$ from side business, let it be restaurants or online casinos or |

can really do it with the help of lots of databases and analysis software.
hold'em is not really a that complicated game, with hundreds of thousands of
your hand history available (like durrrr's), you don't have much secret
left. when durrrr played this guy, i guess he doesn't really even know much
who he is and how he plays yet (until paying high "tuition").

re missing the point here. durrrr's problem is if his bankroll is not that
strong, he should just stop in the middle. his friend said Isildur1 plays A
game on all 6 tables, if durrrr can't concentrate on these many tables, just
do one. If he can't beat Isildur1, go down several levels or stop playing.
They should play for living, not for ego.

不过统计数字，no limit, 2009 best small stake grinders (参考俺前２周贴的)，
大概一年cash game的收入在最多十万以内(不含rakeback, bonus等等)，单一帐号，一
般估计这个量级的至少在多个站点都会玩。
如果以这个高标准来参考的话，一般牌友如果能达到3W这个数字的话，应该就是很优秀
了。
grind只所以叫grind，的确是时间投入巨大。上班的话一年不过2000小时，这个很容易
就也差不多了。
所以光靠small stake是只能小补，不能发财的。
于是，无外乎：
1)迅速move up，这个很难，一个durrrr后面站着9999999个losers，何况durrrr也在也
很惨;
2) 同时打tournament，广洒种子，一年搞那么２，３次中型的冠军，那么3W的目标相
对容易多了，比如去年的KKRUN和pokeryjj两位。 |

It is super deep game, sometimes you have to be bluffed. (pros fold a lot
over pair on rag board, if he gets check raised. If you call the 3bet, your
hand is transparent. )
If ivey allin on flop, durrrr will call with a monster, set at least(usually
big dog). durrrr will fold his bluff hand.

长期，或者即使是中短期而言，扑克真的不是什么爽事，dusty也许不是象durrrr，gus
，ivey之流名声显赫，但是他的扑克business论对于绝大多数认真的玩家(不管你玩多
大的stakes)真的是不可多得的核心思想，非常成熟。
扑克就是每天定时定量的一个工作，grind in and out，重复性的做相同或者类似的决
定，适当根据对手状态做调整，在某个时段某个stake，你的edge即使有，也是很小的
，要赢钱，基本是靠足够大的量来体现，而非running hot/bad。
5BB/100听起来很容易，一把raise别人fold可能就够了。一夜手气好对手驴，连搞10个
buy-ins的经历可能很多人都有过.....这种时候，dusty说的100 buy-ins rule，甚至
大多数pros建议的50 buy-ins rule看起来都是那么的保守，那么的"没劲"不刺激。
可是当downswing不可避免的到来，连着几把AA/KK栽在对手手下，bankroll半小时就给
wipe掉一半的时候，有多少人真正能不砸桌子怪运气? 而是重新检讨自己?

player, I mean durrrr caliber player, although against very bad player,

500/1000 with buyin of $45k), and another table together with Patrick Antonius and
another unknown guy (rich amateur?). gus and durrrr play very wild. at some point,
Patrick simply left with a big stack of around $130K.

钱当然是最多的，光lifetime tournament winning就18M。
技术全面，8条WSOP金手链，1个WPT来自于不同比赛。就是论数量，也就比几杆老枪少2
，3条，何况老枪的战绩一些是很多年以前，扑克并不那么流行的时候的，难度系数小
很多，80，90年代很多大型比赛才200，300人。
更大的cash game更是经过时间，战场(live high stake, online)考验的，Aria把新开
的high stake poker room命名为Ivey Room，不是虚的。比durrrr, gus, PA之流，虽
然也是大赢家，但是感觉成熟度，稳定度还差一些。
RP也不赖，比某些大嘴，失态的顶尖高手让人佩服。
而且，才35岁不到，呵呵，ego顶破天的durrrr能不能扛到那岁数，很多人也怀疑。 |
