在买房的appraisal 的cost approach 中有一栏叫Total Estimate of Cost-new，就是
重建这个房子要多少钱。Lender要求的保险额度是贷款额和Total Estimate of Cost-
new中较低的那个。 有些保险还会提供125%，150%，甚至guaranteed的replacement
cost coverage，这个replacement cost 和Total Estimate of Cost-new指的是一个东

他们公款只能佩一把枪，爱好枪还得自己掏腰包。他用的是Glock 27, .40 的，枪柄小
到我都握不住，他的手比我大很多，枪小的好处当然是便于隐藏。子弹很牛比，是头部
凹陷的开花弹，他说你在外面是买不到的，打到人体上就是一个大窟窿。他推荐我买个
Glock 9mm的，理由是后坐力小，比较便宜。
他爱聊，我就请教了一些自卫常识。简单地说：
1．如果家里有人break in，不用先打911，警察肯定来不及救你。
2．你能做的就是拿起枪，先大声警告: Whoever get in my house, get out now! I
have a gun. I will shoot in 3 sec. 1, 2, 3. 然后就向地面或墙面开枪。
3．如果对方吓跑了，不要追击，不要再向背后开枪，即使他抢走了你的财物。
4．如果对方不退出，就可以开枪射击了，隔着dry wall 向敌人所在方位乱射也没问题
，自己要找好掩体。
5．在户外开枪警告时，不要朝天射击，因为子弹还会以同样速度掉下来，可能伤人。
