Some misunderstandings among you guys.
First, this is big-wall climbing. Leo Houlding group lead the climbing by
themselves, and fixed the rope to the anchor where they reached in each day,
then rappel to basecamp. ( wherever there is bad weather people always
do this)
Then use ascender to get on the rope set by themselves to the point reached
in previous day, then free climb again. This is called "Jumar" technique.
Finally, "free climbing" is something just different from aid-climbing. When... 阅读全帖

Running uphills and downhills have different effects on cardiovascular
system and musculoskeletal system. That makes "even effort" easier said than
done, but definitely the way to go.
Running uphill is hard on both the heart and muscles, especially the
backside of your muscles (hamstrings, glutes, calves and achilles).
Running downhill is easier on the heart, but it's also easy to run too fast,
and have quads, knees and ankles beat up. The gravity puts a lot of stress

IMO, physical build is much easier than changing the form or technique
without coaching.
That is why we have 2 派 here. Each 派 selects the one which they consider is easier to get improved over the other.
JudieYan is the perfect example that technique is not enough without physical strength. If he has good fitness, he is so easy to beat me up badly without any problem.
