隔热防漏气，效果非常好。
至于隔音吗，玻璃的隔音效果不好。当然，这个窗户可以阻挡50%的noise,但是不能完
全阻挡噪音。 |

double glazed window密封性好，不漏风，冬天就节约了一大比开支。这个window的缺
点是不能完全消除外面的噪音，估计能消除60%的噪音吧，但还是能听到外面的车声，

发帖数: 4125 | 9 I think 4 inch is not strong enough, I would go at least 6 inch. Some ICF
set up, use 4 inch wall but 6 inch post, I think they should be ok, save
concrete and stong at the same time.
Use Double-Glazed with Moderate-Solar-Gain Low-E Glass, Argon/Krypton Gas
Filled.
I like Wood Clad frame with Low Conductance Spacers.
You can have the window any where, I don't think make any difference. You
still need rebar around the window and door. But it very hard to move the
window to a different location on |

Low-E, Argon/Krypton Gas Insulated Vinyl or Fiberglass Frame.
Should not increase your cooling cost too much.
But if you only want to add light (not view), I would suggest you add a few
light tube. I have put in a few solartube brand for my hallway and basement,
but any brand should be about the same.

I you can not afford $5 per sq ft, I am not sure what to advise you.
True and false, marble is softer and porus, but it is just as easy to take
of, marble will look nice in 100 years and still be in style. I have not
seen porcelain tiles that old to comment. But I know once the top glaze is
worn, they will become ugly and much harder to keep clean.

than before.
For my house built a few years ago, 窗户 (triple glaze with low-e U value 0.
05)，墙壁 (R value 80) ，屋顶 (R value 110). This insulation is better than
most expensive refrigerator made just a few years back.
Assume 完全隔热的modern home, also assume night time temp is in the 70s and
day time temp is in the 90s, AC runs more efficient at night and early

其实厨房还没有 finish。这一块，头续多，工作琐碎，花得心思多，反而还有不少 美
中不足的心病等着 fix。版上有姐妹想看，就也秀出来了。顺便听听建议。
before －
原来的厨房，一看就是二三十年前的装修。几个 keywords：白色小磁砖，厚重的陶瓷
sink，陈旧的橱柜，老式的顶灯。。。都是必须要重做的。
而且，抽油烟机装在island 正中，老式厨房的顶本来就矮，只有7尺半，弄这么个庞然
大物，把什么都block了，一眼看着就难受。
地上铺的磁砖，我也不喜欢。 厨房 跟 family room 是整体打通连贯的，我喜欢从地
面感觉上也是连贯通畅的，况且我一直以来习惯了厨房用地板，温馨一点。只要勤打扫
就好了。
构想 －
首先决定改变结构，想把 range hood 挪到厨房侧面，这样管道也要改一下，跟
contractor 沟通了一下， 看看了房檐和外墙，他说没问题。
这样 Island 就变得更加 visible 了 ，灶台移走了，island 从面积上讲也会更实用

发帖数: 5112 | 26 这个周末把grout弄完了。买的是homedepot样品里面的瓷砖和grout，配套的，sealer
也是HD的人帮着推荐的。LD自己去买的，买回来以后包装上写的是fawn，我查了一下应
该是颜色深一些的不是白色的，挺开心的，因为听说颜色浅的即便seal了时间久了也会
容易脏。昨天上了一半的grout，湿的时候颜色是有些深褐色，感觉还不错，今天早上
去看竟然成了类似白色的了，很浅，倒是不难看。包装上写的是fawn，怎么会是类似白
色的了。。。
另外，youtube视频里面有人推荐弄好grout以后的几天用喷壶每天都喷一遍grout好让
它保持湿润慢慢的干，这样对grout好。不过我看grout包装袋子上没提这个事情，是不
是可以不用那么麻烦啊？以前光在理发店见过往头发上喷水的，但不知道哪里有卖的？
关于sealer,grout包装袋上说2周以后才能seal...我们买的是这种瓷砖，看描述上应该
是glazed的吧，

柜子还有故意做旧的。还有的stain上再来一层深一些颜色的glaze，
目的也是看着有陈旧厚重感。楼主这直接就效果出来了，还想请教怎么
stain出的这种效果。我stain了一扇门，出来就是很平板的木头色，怎么
才能出这些深浅啊

像木头上了层清漆的样子。不过门板还是均匀点好。你这个柜子有深浅的好看。

可以去国内liba装修论坛上看看。现在国人在2年内从基本100%选择封闭厨房到现在60%
以上选择开放厨房。。时代在进步。。
开放厨房的好处是大人在做饭可以看到客厅里小孩的一举一动。除此之外，朋友聚餐，
家庭聚会，会客等开放厨房都提供了一个很好的hangout的地方
建议：如果要做油烟很大的菜的话。。那就出去买那种菜吧。。在家里做那种菜成本也
很高的。用过封闭厨房的人都知道就算是封闭厨房味道也很大。事后可以用那些glaze
或者其他牌子的spray喷几下就好不少了。。
当然选择权在你自己手上啦。。我只是阐明一个观点要与时俱进 |

我家宝宝很好动，喜欢拿高处的东西，特别是不让他碰的。灶台上的热锅什么，一不小
心就搬着小板凳凑过去了(现在家里连板凳都要藏好）。另外还喜欢翻冰箱，玩架子上
的各种油盐酱醋瓶，玻璃器皿，分分钟打散一地。厨房里毕竟杂物多，很难完全收起来
。不知道怎么处理比较好呢？

现在正在等seller消息
板上做了功课，好像可以自己DIY换窗户，想问问自己换可以保证insulated吗？如果可
以就自己换了（因为喜欢房子的地点，上班方便）
