以为下面会很快。结果recruiter说现在无法提交到下一个vp/svp review，因为正在帮
我找组，然后3周过去了，没有update。请教各位googler，这个组的allocation
process如何，需要多长时间（in average). 我在glassdoor看见一个惊悚的例子，去
年11月面，组allocation花了4.5个月，今年5月才拿到offer。不知道自己是不是worst
case。有什么方法可以加快这个过程？谢谢大家 |

得知一位久违的同学来到了旧金山湾区，然而我见到他时，这人正处于一生中最痛苦的

之前面的 Google，今天 recruiter 打来说我的 feedback 有两个非常好，但是也有一
到两个 poor feedback。 recruiter 说，下个星期二会进行 feedback review，应该
会有很多讨论（应该是指我在 borderline）。他说这时候最能帮到我的就是一些
references，google 里面的人的 references 如果足够 strong 的话，可以扭转局势。
不知道有没有已在 Google 工作的 xdjm 愿意帮忙 refer 一把。相信这里很多人都知

interview的机会。现在想尽快把internship的事情定下来，然后整理实习面经发回来。
我项目的方向主要在languages & distributed systems for large scale data
processing/mining。平时做一些hadoop/spark development 和 benchmarking。对
statistics工具（R,SAS）也比较熟悉。

叫我过去onsite.
他们招java的，可是我一直用c++。
她就说，你随便用什么语言都可以，出题做算法。
我思路卡克的地方，她就很有艺术的提点了一下，我立刻想出最优解。比我平时刷体状
态都好。
反观其他面试官，非要我用java写算法code 导致我比较紧张。
这个帖子就想说，googler出来，就是厉害，各种方面，眼光 视角，档次 的确高一筹

review，让你有面试的感觉，同时看看googler怎么被同事code review的，看完就觉得
googler也是正常人。 |

发帖数: 586 | 29 如果是你投简历到 Google 的话，据说先需要经过算法筛选，通过的才能到 HR 筛选；通不过的话，你的简历没被人肉眼看到就直接被拒绝了。因此，听说也有人是专门提供简历优化服务的，类似 SEO，让你的简历能通过算法这一关。
如果 HR 挑选到你的话，会主动联系你。最基本的，要确认你不是个捏造简历来浑水摸鱼的人，为此 HR 会了解一下你的经验，看看你是否真的是个工程师。如果在中国的话，HR 还会跟你用英文对话几分钟（我遇到过让我陈述工作经历和亮点的），确认你能适应可能需要英文沟通的工作环境。
之后，我遇到的情况是 HR 让我去 Codility 做题，就是最简单的算法题，我不确认这是不是个别现象。简单的题，在学校里算法及格的人都知道 O(n) 能解决，也没必要怎么优化；难一点的题目，一看就知道 O(n ^ 2) 能解，再思考一下还能找到 O(n log n) 甚至 O(n) 的解法。总之可以认为是 OI 题吧。
随后，那就是电话面试和面对面面试了。前者成本低一些，容易安排；后者能够更好地感觉到你是不是个将来大家都乐意接受的同事，但成本高一些。具体会被安排多少轮电话和面对面的面试是说不准的... 阅读全帖 |

know nothing about his current company, then we will use his past experience
to make the judgement. For example, a PHD will suppose you are a PHD, a
former Googler will suppose you are googler too. And, they have more power
to say no, because there is only 1 and 0.
I think most likely they have many candidates and don't care that much.

1， 这事不应该这么明目张胆的来问，都是私下朋友问一下的。别说没那么严重，去年

because they are leaving Google. They want to find out the salary in another
company and they are forced to put their own salary to see the data. That's
how Glassdoor works. Another reason is current Googler suspect they are
underpaid. Neither reason makes them successful Googlers.

2000年上海还是很破的。这10年才大发展。
不过2010也就是汽车高楼多些，说实在未必有机动三轮和小楼房好。
吃饭不要钱，自行车随便骑在硅谷的某些公司已经实现了。看来布林童年时期的共产主
