Mormon Beliefs, are they Christian?

There's a lot of discussion about Mormon beliefs. So, in order to make this
easy, I will list out what Mormonism actually teaches. These are not sensati

Following documentation from Mormon authors. Finally, please understand tha
t the Mormon Church uses Christian terms but has radically changed the meani

My brothers and sisters, to express gratitude is gracious and honorable, to
enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live with gratitude ever in
our hearts is to touch heaven.
As I close this morning, it is my prayer that in addition to all else for
which we are grateful, we may ever reflect our gratitude for our Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ. His glorious gospel provides answers to life’s

The Relativity of Biblical Ethics

Biblical Support For Total Depravity?
The words "total" and "depravity," as already noted, are not found in the Bi
ble. Of course, neither is the word "trinity," but the Bible overwhelmingly
teaches that doctrine. The Bible does not, however, teach the inability of T
otal Depravity as defined in Calvinism: that all men are by nature unable to
believe the gospel.
To show that the Bible does indeed teach total depravity as inability, the C
alvinist cites such scriptures as "And GOD saw that the wi... 阅读全帖

Answer: The author of Matthew quotes Jesus as saying to the scribes and
Pharisees: "For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly
of the sea monster, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in
the heart of the earth" (Matthew 12:40; cf. Jonah 2:1 [1:17 in some
versions]. This reference to Jonah supposedly foreshadows the burial and the
resurrection of Jesus. Yet there is an essential difference between what
occurred to Jonah and Matthew's resurrection account. This... 阅读全帖

E. Exposition Proper
It was common for Paul, having greeted the recipients of the letter, to move
on to a somewhat lengthy note of thanksgiving and prayer for the church in

ns 1:8-15.
Paul is thankful to God that the faith of the Romans is well known, undoubte

1:14-15 The lack of explicit grammatical connection to 1:13 lends a note of
seriousness to 1:14. In a matter of fact way, Paul says that he is obligated
—not because of anything in the people themselves (cf. 15:27), but because
of his calling as an apostle (1 Cor 9:16b)—to the Greeks, the barbarians, t
he wise and the foolish.
The term Greeks ({Ellhsin, Ellesin) refers to those who were of Greco-Roman
status, culture, language, and heritage. The term Barbarians (barbavroi", Ba
rbarois) refers to... 阅读全帖
