Town里上一年级。Town里做了screening test，结果说她ESL, literacy, math都达不
到上一年级的标准, 而实际是秋天的一年级学生人数爆满, K班则是人还不够.
我们和现在她上的K班老师meeting, 老师也认为academic 女儿上是没问题的.
但另一方面私校很想留下女儿. 老师讲留在私校继续上一年级没问题，转回公校只能读
K，否则social 方面有 concern. 但我们真不觉得她social有问题，她在playground玩
都会主动跟陌生小孩打招呼，很快就变成朋友一起玩, 两边的学校各种基于自己的立场

啊，building sets 什么的。 是真爱，从小就喜欢自己倒腾几个小时不带停，大人把
包装盒子给他打开之后就不用管了， 他废寝忘食地捣。
今年夏天参加了一个本地私立学校的lego Robotics 的夏令营， 程度是raising 1st
to 4th graders， 用的Mindstorm NXT. 老师是个华裔博士，夏令营结束后和我说了
点娃那么点天分， 可以和高点年纪的娃一起搞， 但他们学校只offer summer camp,
娃就要求我给找平时可以去的lego robotics program.
我找了半天，终于找到了附近一个老印开的STEM kid 中心， 跑过去问什么program 合
适他。他们说娃夏天上过mindstorm 倒腾过 NXT， 让他去做k-3年级的 Junior

right for each 'race' - here I mean the race defined by them. Like for
Asians, we'll further divide them into Chinese, Vietnamese, Koreans, etc etc
. As for Whites, who cares where they are from - even they are a much
larger chunk of the total population. Talk about the ever deteriorating

1、如果是短期交换两个quarter的话，原来学校的物理系不会给我出学费，需要我自己
或者UCB的教授在原来学校给我交学费。但是20000多美元，我的新教授不愿意出这笔钱
给我原来的学校。
2、还有一种就是我在原来的学校做grader，这样学校机会付我工资，我叫我在原来学
校读硕士的老婆改这些作业，然后我肉身可以在伯克利做研究。但是我为了保持原来学
校的两个quarter的full time student，我一个quarter要选12学分的课，也很难走开。
3、我干脆在原来学校不读了，转为F2去伯克利工作两个quarter，然后夏季转回F1。但

他的网站感觉是从别的地方直接拷贝过来的，而且还有病毒（我用的是Norton）。
第一次面谈，他会答应你的所有要求，目的只有一个，就是套你过去。
等你把retainer交了，就是另一副样子了，开始玩失踪，电话不接，email不回。
他的贪婪会超过你的想像，就是那种漫天要价的那种。

让你见识一下什么叫真正的严肃，我看了之后真是气坏了。顺便大家也看看以后小心一
点，学校给小孩发黄书看，如果家长敢不给教育局局长面子，局长可以叫警察用手铐抓
