华记的面 (Wah Kee Chinese Noodle and Restaurant, 600 Williamson St ),一年多前
点过一次面,一次菜, 巨难吃,因此以后再也没去过,当然也可能我没点对东东.
middleton 的马来china, (Maylay China, 1901 Cayuga St) 就是曾经Park street 上的
China house，china house 的菜我实在是不敢恭维，没有大厨，都是老板或老板娘照着
菜谱炒的，而且老板比较算计，听说曾把伙计扔进 trash can 的几片烂葱叶又捡了回来
，扔进锅里继续炒菜，从那之后我们对那个地方想都没想过。后来听说开了个 马来餐馆
，想来味道应该会好点，因为老板就是马来人，但不知是不是还是自己掌勺？不过我是永
远不会去得了。卫生问题可能每个餐馆都或多或少，既然听说了，没道理跟自己过不去．
Imperial garden 的烤鸭，要提前一天order,还可以，但皮不太酥，个人认为imperial
garden的菜做得还成，但也就是不错的美式中餐， 味道没什么特别，环境不错，看着 |

发帖数: 35 | 12 今天早上去温哥华Cambie & 6th Avenue的bestbuy买wii游戏机，停车场是Imperial
Park的，需要收费，一小时1块5刀，我扔了一个硬币进去，说还差5毛，再扔一个2刀的
硬币进去，准备听到叮叮叮的找硬币的声音，谁知道没有出现，仔细看，下面很远的地
方有一行小字：本停车场没有散钱找。郁闷，第一次碰到这种情况。再仔细看，它的收
费方式 ，1小时1块半，2小时4块半（一般小时越多越便宜的，它反过来），3小时7块
半，4小时10块半。一小时一块半可以理解，到了7块以上，甚至10块，都要加一个小零
头在上面，明显就是博很多人没有散钱的做法。
上去10分钟买完，下停车场准备离开，旁边来了一个女士，我说这票就给你吧，还有50
分钟，不要浪费钱买了。她高兴地接了谢了。这时候，一部Imperial Park的车飞驰而
至，说你不能把票给人。有没搞错，他们专门请了人摄像头监视着？服了 |

strip上的贵点的。我们两个选择：一个是 palace station,离stip 1.6miles, 两个人
包括机票一共632， 另一个是stip上的 imperial 两人一共是665， 是五天包括旅馆机
票的价格，另外imperial还送两张埃菲尔塔票。我个人偏向于后者, 因为算上作bus的
费，也省不了多少，但是朋友认为住前者划算，可以不做bus，走着去strip，向听听版
上的意见，纠结太长时间了，想抓紧决定定下来，好准备final exam，每天都得查下价
格，好麻烦呢，非常感谢 |

发帖数: 17256 | 19 机场shuttle我没怎么坐过，定过一次和hotel一起的package，但非常不值得，一个人
来回15，而且回机场居然要提前3小时叫车，从此之后就直接taxi了，从机场到strip上
的酒店大概带小费20上下，如果一路4个人的话就很划算。其他的我没坐过，不清楚。
如果只在strip玩的话，没必要租车，慢慢逛着也是乐趣，还省了赛车找路的麻烦。
imperial我没住过，strip上你要大餐啥的好找，要蔬菜水果的话，我还真不知道哪里
特别值得推荐。。。
如果第一次去，三天很快就过去了，去一趟总要看个把秀的，看完了回酒店小赌下，早
上睡够了起床，然后strip上慢慢逛吧。 imperial的位置好像比较靠中间，可以轮着逛
两边，挺好。一个赌场一个赌场挨个逛过去，照相啥的，就得不少时间。然后Bellagio
门口的喷泉啊，treasure island的海盗秀（冬天他维护，好像圣诞过后才恢复）啊这
几个标志性的总要到点过去看看，然后还有Bellagio里边的巧克力喷泉之类的东西可以
看看，然后city center，fashion mall，wynn下面的名店群，女生就算不买，挨个逛

发帖数: 589 | 20 这次玩前做了一些功课，好多都没用上，在此贴出来，希望能对其他人有些用。
顺便再说几个小地方：
1、我们发现在高速上隔一长段没有加油站的时候，如果是快进城市了最先出现的那个加油站基本上是最贵的，接下来的出口会便宜一些，最多有便宜4毛。
2、我们每天的行程基本上都和GPS给出的时间差不多，很顺利，只有快到LV和LV的时候会堵车，I-40，AR、TX和OK限速是70，NM和AZ是75，我们一般都开到限速或者再多个5-10mi，还能省出加油的时间。
3、我们被警察叔叔拦过两回，一次是12月25日，一次是1月1日，看来美国警察假日也不休啊！

很小的时候看过的《Star Wars》，后来陆陆续续看过一些novelization和属于legends
的外传，关于Sith的起源等等，玩过一些星战游戏，但是都没有很系统地钻研这个系列。
最近在跟娃们一起看《Clone Wars》系列，就跟娃一起补了一下课，把《Star Wars》
里面的Canon都又复习了一遍，从图书馆借来了六部蓝光收藏版，把deleted scenes和
制作过程的记录片也看了一遍，包括演员采访，卢卡斯访谈，还有visual artists的访
谈等等。
这卢卡斯不近就靠这个系列吃了一辈子，还养活了一堆人，包括做电影的，写小说的（
以Star Wars fictional universe为题材的小说就不下一百本，当然，大多数都只有
legends的地位，canon还是原来的那几个电影加上《Clone Wars》的电视系列片。
关于星战人物背景和武器装备已经有无数的coffee table books了，最近在图书馆找到
一本星战和地球历史背景的书，跟娃们一起过了一遍。

近的书架上看到了这本《Pacific Crucible》，就随便翻翻。
就是1941-1942年的太平洋战争，就是597页的hard cover，所以战事写得特别详细，大
