发帖数: 11067 | 1 上庭回来了，果然警察说他超车开始的时候是在passing zone，完成的时候已经过了
passing zone了。我们拿着GOOGLE MAP的地图，在虚线变实线的地方有个NO PASSING的
黄色牌，老先生一直坚持他看到提示牌的时候已经返回右LANE，那天是晚上，他离标示
牌比警察近，所以他比警察看得清楚。警察说晚上有反光，他能看清。一直重复了三四
次，老先生都这个说法，虽然老先生立场很强硬，但我们也比较礼貌，所以场上气氛还
可以。
最后法官开始打圆场。法官问我们驾驶纪录如何，我说还不错。警察说没查。然后法官
让我把法律给老先生解释清楚，让他以后超车的时候小心，说当时他可能是很短暂的错
误，也就是法官还是支持警察的观测的。但他把IMPROPER PASSING改了failed to
follow highway sign。没扣分，罚30+60上庭费。这同一个地方同一个警察抓了三四个
人，几乎都是有两个超车+impropoer passing的ticket的，我们的是判的最轻的。
这个法官超严，因为我们中国人的姓又给排到最后一个了，所以我听了所有的CASE，所

未受伤，但去了医院检查。当时前面还有三四辆连环追尾的事故。总之结果给了RD。。。
网上看了不少都是说找律师或者自己辩论，因为记录好，所以降为：
* 罚款：超速+出庭费，（普遍300内？）
* 扣分：3-6分？
但我在此之前刚有一次超速被抓，我估计这次的RD跟之前的那个记录有关。
我不解的是：警官跟了我RD之后说,他会在庭上跟法官说是improper driving（ID），
并据此处罚。那为什么还当场给我RD？
我给警官写信，答复是这样的：
When you are in the court you have 2 options:
* plead guilty
* contest the charge.
If you plead guilty:
the judge will decide the penalty at that time.
For this charge the penalty is usually a monetary fine.

白他是不是违规。仔细查了CODE才疑心是不是因为这个原因。
这个IMPROPER PASSING貌似也挺严重的。
现在就是不清楚上庭的话是说GUILTY还是NOT GUILTY。如果警察说他跟着车开过去所以

为大路上车多没能及时并线进去，而走了一小段shoulder。结果被猫在那儿的警察堵住
了。
请问这种情况上庭plead not guilty值得吗？罚了$85，这个认栽也无算了，关键是不
想以后保险费又要涨上去。
从没有去court的经验，请问是不是上庭也要交钱？还是如果plead not guilty成功了
就不用交上庭费？有经验的xdjms说说看，这种情况是认罚还是plead not guilty？

行标志，绿灯等对面没车了，跟着前面一辆车一起左转了。当即被警察拿下，给了张单
子说improper turn.
