Ranked in terms of talent and potential impact, here’s how the SEC’s
impact running backs stack up this season:

a camera with me. He came to support his wife's 5K race
with his little husky, but he didn't run. Two Kenyan
women won 1st and 2nd places, and Sarah Hall finished 3rd. |

America, if you ask elite runners like Bill
Rodgers, like Deena Kastor, like Ryan Hall, they tell you that they love to
run. Each day when they wake up,
they couldn't wait to get out of the door and start the training. The same
thing with Kenyan and Ethiopian
runners. But not in China. In China, you only hear about the pain and
suffering of the elite athletes. I'm not
sure entirely sure if this is only the problem with Chinese |

lies in the Chinese system and media. |

In missoula marathon, which is at
3200ft, one's performance is expected to be slowed down by 2-3 minutes.
Starting at 5000ft the altitude
effect increases dramatically with the altitude. In 1968 Olympics at Mexico
City, which is at 7200 ft, western
runners were severely affected by the altitude while the Kenyans and
Ethiopians dominated all distance

As far as I can tell, China is still a
much richer country than Kenya and Ethiopia. It's not fair to compare to
India, because the Indian culture is
very different. They don't care about the physical body as much. Rather,
they value the spiritual achievements. |

there are far more talents in distance running in east africa than in the
