A new report of "economic freedom" around the world finds the US ranked 12th
among 152 countries, tied with the United Kingdom, and lower than neighbor
Canada or Australia. The index, published by the Cato Institute and Canada's
Fraser Institute, has been published since 1996. As recently as 2000, the
US ranked 2nd in the world, in terms of boasting a free economy. The US's
declining ranking will lower future economic growth.

This is a story about ethics and economics, winners and losers, and the
philosophical muddle on both ends of the political spectrum, as told through
two of the hot-button issues of the 2016 U.S. presidential race: the
minimum wage and free trade.
Start with an unpopular but irrefutable fact: Raising the minimum wage to $

The Dream Of Muslim Outreach Has Become A Nightmare
When President Obama entered office, he dreamed that his hope-and-change
messaging and his references to his familial Islamic roots would win over
the Muslim world. The soon-to-be Nobel Peace Prize laureate would make the U

Laureate International
Universities

Nobel laureate
