recognized world-class mathematician. But his pay is well below some of

多万两个项目。今天终于证明有原则性错误。想法本身没错，但是解决问题的关键在另
外的地方(i.e.即使把我们的想法100%实现，对解决问题帮助不大，因为我们的工作方
向错了)。。。
去年12月另一个组的模拟计算表明了这点，今天我们的实验验证了他们的结果。
一度以为这辈子靠它成名发财。这下草鸡了。继续当我的Nobody吧。。。
MD，这下也轻松了。下礼拜跟Program manager通个气，他要愿意就把项目砍掉，学生
紧急毕业拉到，Postdoc走路。老子好好歇半年再说。
作点新东西真难啊。其实我们跟Nobel Laureate比就是运气不好。大家起点差不多。之
前都不知道想法能不能成。他们的成了，我们的没成。一将成名万骨枯。。。可怜无定
河边骨。。。人生这个大游戏，我还是当群众演员吧，智力30内政20武力30统率20那种

我在决定前，可能也要和老板以及A-star确定一些问题。
1. 这个VIP lab的寿命到得有没有保证。
现在看来似乎问题不大，因为不是普通的一个funding，是为了新加坡本地在这个领域
的长久发展。
老板是业界小牛，他说其他几个VIP lab的负责人都是超级大牛，还有Nobel laureate
，所以政府应该是有长远打算的。
2. 三年以后我的归属问题，这个我想和老板谈谈backup plan，因为我们这次过去就面
临着放弃刚拿到的绿卡。
还有别的什么方面需要和老板negotiate的么？我周一和他谈。 |

如果真想到新加坡发展，我觉得你走另外一条路会更保险，就是申请NRFfellow。
当然你的背景要够硬，拿到那个fellow后获得的资源不比你那个VIPlab的差。
任意选择NUS或者NTU，都还把你当宝供起来。会有更多后续资源。拿到tenure后就不用
担心了。
学校着条路比astar着条路保险得多。
