我领导有想法转law,想去读一个law school然后出来做律师
我本人收入蛮高的，所以钱不是一个追求的方向。主要是想工作时间比较正常，每周40
-50个小时的。如果周末不用加班就最好了。
感觉拿到的信息非常的矛盾。问了两个朋友，一个夫人做lawyer工作40个小时。另一个
是兄弟做lawyer但是要5-60个小时。还听到板上有人说80小时。听着蛮吓唬人的。
不知道是不是做不同类型个的lawyer工作时间不一样啊。
我认识做immigration law的貌似工作时间不是很变态。
做corporate law, 或者IP law的是不是时间长一点啊。
有人能给说说么。

金支持。可惜大多数法学院毕业的华人最后还是选择公司法，因为语言能力，这个
trial lawyer的培养，需要几代人。
美国黑人为了自己权利，打了无数官司，从1920年到1970年代，官司无数，很多打到最
高法庭，然后赢了后，再打官司，为了法律执行。
就一个Brown v. Board of Education 的案子，最高法院赢了后，说是不允许不同种族
不同学校分开教育，可是各个学区不干。然后又到全美数百个学区打官司，强迫那些学
区执行，一直到所有学区不许种族分开教育，黑人花费了多少人力和财力。
这个Brown v. Board of Education的案子，如果黑人不打赢，现在bbs版上的，或者自
己的小孩，肯定会有一些人不能去附近的白人学区或者大学读书，没有统一的最高法院
判决，必然就会让地方自己决定，南方州和内陆州是绝对不会让华裔去那里和白人一起
读书的。 Forrest Gump电影里面就有Brown vs. Board of Education后的这一幕。

发帖数: 4166 | 23 closing要等到周五，所以先唠叨一篇关于agent,lawyer,inspector和broker的。纯粹个人见解，欢迎批评指正。
我的理解呢，买房就像是做project，你揍是那project manager，什么agent, lawyer, inspector和broker啊，全都是report给你的team member。
四人之中Agent是唯一跟你share profit的人，只有project close了他才能拿到钱，他同时也是在project前期帮你做market争取funding的人。但是这个人选可以说非常重要也可以说无足轻重，如果你很有经验很有时间自己完全可以胜任这个工作，可以1）不要buyer agent，2）随便找个buyer agent挂个名跟他要rebate，3）找seller agent跟他狂侃，不然就跟我一样老老实实找个agent吧。我的agent是同事推荐的，当年的我也是两眼一摸黑，满脑子就想着要买房，其他啥也不懂，傻乎乎就跟着开始看房了，什么rebate啊interview啊都没管。
有agent的方便之处在于，他能帮你找到比网上更多更全更新的房 |

banker的lawyer当然会偏向银行。到时候把一些对你有利的可以在房子或者其他出问题
的时候推出的条款给删除了，你到时候就算是明知道受骗也只能闭眼睛买。
你的lawyer(实际上是attorney），会给你加上很多对你有利的条款。比如如果对方无
法按时成交，你的损失或者是否能够推出。对方一般会有延期条款，而你如果不保护自
己，会有很多麻烦。还有许多其它的保护条款。我的attorney给我加了至少30挑针对对
方条件的条款。以免到时候本来是对方的问题结果要我来承担损失。 |

前一阵看了个房，签了合同，但是inspection之后我们签了form 35退出了。但是
escrow company需要一个form 51才能退earnest money. Form 51需要我们（buyer）和
seller的签字。现在seller不肯签form 51，而且还要把earnest money要过去。
我们现在考虑打官司，请推荐这方面可靠的lawyer。或者还有什么办法可以找escrow
公司把钱要回来？谢谢！ |

朋友家里人给赞助了些钱在大学附近买了个小condo，大概9万多吧，一次付清。现在正
在合约中。请问这种情矿要不要lawyer。其实lawyer具体干些啥，我也不知到。
我建议让她请个，也就多华些钱，300多？她觉得没有贷款就不需要。我总觉得她是第
一次买，凡事小心点。另外她妈妈8月底来住一段时间。我们两家是世交，我比她大7岁
，害怕没有帮她把关以后，把两家的关系搞坏。
另外，还需要驻一些什么呢？对了，房子是她们家人决定要买的，地点和房型也是她们

not strong, 14 papers, 7-9 first author. citation around 300 for all papers
, with around 200 from a review paper (i am first author). reviewer for 4
journals, totally around 12-14 times for 7 manuscripts.
am i qualified for EB1A? which lawyer is better for the case like mine?
i heard that Liu and Zhang are good, Liu is good at strong cases and Zhang
is good at relative weak cases.

It usually takes longer to revise the first couple of letters, as we need to
know how to revise the letters. Then the later letters may not need any
changes any more. Some lawyers respond to each document in a day, others may
take longer, and you can ask her how long she needs.
The longest part for me was to get them signed, as many people were on
vacations when I emailed them then.

to make sure things being done in a timely fashion. I have to contact my
lawyer once a week and my case was still 2 months behind our timeline.
