faculty来说可以算是很牛B了，但是对于老方这种senior的已经搞了一辈子的人来说，
就只能算so so。不要说是院士，离aps fellow的级别也还差了不少。引用率最高的一
篇文章还是95年到了arizona之后跟老外合作的，被引118次，这也是方唯一一篇被引用
上百次的文章。可见方励之89之前确实没有做出过什么重要的工作，他的名声和地位绝
对是靠政治得来的，当然其中部分的也是80年在中国搞科普所得，必须承认科普工作也是
有重要的社会意义的。
(BTW，有人说你这个搜索未必完整。不错，确实不能保证100％毫无遗漏。但是我

标 题: Update：亲身血泪经历给准备买ford explorer的人泼盆冷水 （长文）

2013年买了一辆 ford explorer，当时在honda 奥德赛和这个explorer中间选择，然后
试驾的时候觉得开得感觉不错，很厚重的感觉，然后试驾路上不巧看见了一辆奥德赛车
祸停在路边，整个车的hood都撞开了，之前试驾奥德赛觉得开得感觉一般，没啥开车的
感觉，所以后来想想美国车厚重结实所以就定下来买了explorer。
在2015年7月之前，一切都很好，开得很smooth，第三排坐的空间不错，truck很大很深
，总体觉得很值。
当然这一切美好，在七月中的一天 （大约July 15th）戛然而止，某天在parking lot
上，准备倒车打轮出去，突然方向盘被锁死，锁死意思就是你不能左转右转，steering

Ah the "moderates rebels" the US and EU want to protect. It's clear, they
are definitively better than Assad isn't it ? What a shame that we don't
find Obama or Hollande in these cages. They clearlly deserve to be there.
Thank you Mr Obama, Thank you Mr Hollande, you were right..... they are
soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo moderates. |
