2部分：学院注册和学校注册。这两者没有固定的顺序，也因各个学校的情况各异，但
大体内容和注意事项有很多共通点。
(1)学院注册：
很多同学在被学校录取后，都会收到从学校寄来的包裹，里面包含时间安排、课程
介绍、学院概况、学校概况、导师介绍等相关信息，在里面会说明一个重要活动，即是
新生Orientation。虽然并不强制性要求参与，但我认为能赶上的同学一定都要到场。
Orientation是很多同学第一次和导师和其他老师和管理人员的见面的机会，也是见到
来自世界各地同学们的机会。不同于国内的新生欢迎大会那样的严肃和程序化，国外大
学的Orientation除开院长的讲话和致辞，最重要的部分是学生和老师们的Free talk。
在谈话中，可以向导师询问研究的主要方向、工作地点与时间安排、选课安排， 甚至
有不少同学在录取时并无奖学金，但在Orientation中却在学院找到RA，GA或者TA的工
