若选择病理的话， 大家都咱么申请的绿卡？EB3 还是EB2-NIW。 知道有在UNDESERVE
AREA 服务5年而申请NIW 的说法， 这说法只适合内科还是也包括病理医生， FAMILY
DOCTOR？ 在那些区病理医生的位置多不多呢？这方法可行吗？
发现版上这方面的信息不多， 可能进入住院医后， 大家都忙， 很少回来了吧？

，还要做fellow甚至2个，h1b最多用6年。 |

有任何临床信息，没办法给你明确诊断的。医院里直接看病理切片，他们给的结果才可

发帖数: 220 | 11 现在怀疑两年前误诊为盲肠癌，其实应该是盲肠结核。觉得有这可能性吗？
因为两年前我爸刚住院时，他们说是盲肠结核，后来说在腹腔积液中发现癌细胞，就诊
断为盲肠癌。当时医生说我爸只有4-6个月。之后我爸就赶快回到美国， 2008，12月开
始做化疗，但没有再重新确诊。
在今年2月之前化疗效果很好，基本控制了腹水。3个月一次的CT也显示没有转移。今年
2月后就开始有腹水了，现在每3周抽一次，6/22 CT也显示没有转移到其他器官。如果
当时两年前在国内诊断：盲肠癌，广泛转移直腹腔正确的话，是不是应该已经转移至肝
或肺了？

asked her whether she is a pathologist assistant. She said she mainly do
various types of immunohistochemistry experiments, and she said that she is
certified. Her working schedule is that she goes for work at around 7:30AM,
and goes off work at around 3:30PM. I suppose to have more time for her
family. She seems happy.
In this country, scientists are not reasonably respected at all. As one of

- The earlier the better. Late October is considered "too late" for most
programs.
2. I did obervership in pathology and Oncology department at the same
institute and I put these experience as volunteer experience in my CV. I
will get LOR from both a pathologist and an oncologist. I am planning to use

US medical students are more willing to consider pathology than before. The
medical school I am in has 0-1 path applicants 5 years ago, this year they
have 4. Other institutions have a similiar trend.
However, please don't be discouraged by the situation, most of you have
impeccable creds and will be able to match, although may not be a highly
competitive program. Remember this, many great pathologists are trained in

今Academic Pathologist的工作流动是再正常不过的事情了， 我的几个同事/朋友都有
这样的经历 而且在新的地方都感觉挺好。祝福老刀及家人一切如意！
很高兴看到大部分同学很感念老刀的无私帮助，心理阴暗的人毕竟还是极少数。 个别
ID貌似对各专业的医生情况无所不知，大部分的的发言让人读来哭笑不得。我无意冒犯
任何人，但每每看到一些不着边际的高谈阔论让我不自主的联想到据说当年美驻京使馆
门前有个别的说客不厌其烦地在那儿大谈visa经验/绝招， 其实他/她本人就一总也拿
不到visa的主儿。

follicles or entities that may or may not relate to ovulation.
Sounds like I did a good job confusing you--that's what a pathologist would normally do :-)

病人恢复发音，以及swallowing eval。 有一部份人可以做language correction的。
这和ESL不一样，他们不会教你语法和句型。而是纠正你发音的口腔肌肉的运用方法。 |

前两天偶遇一个人，现在在做mobile pathologist.他是从很好的Univ Program毕业的
，做过fellow。他以前是在private group,经济不好小的group生存艰难，
他只好做起了mobile pathology service。他自己说他＄70 per job。我简直不能相信
，plumber 都要＄65 /hour 呢。如果他没开玩笑的话，那这么低的pay rate又是怎么
来的？

ACAP SRF Committee今年上半年还有两项重要的活动，一个是3月底火柴日之后的post-
match庆功会，一个是5月22号的ACAP年会的CMG meeting.
3月庆功会定在3/27号星期天，地点在法拉盛附近的New York Hospital Queens的学术
报告厅，主要人群针对intern to be，当然正在准备申请的兄弟姐妹也欢迎。除了大家
见面相互交流之外，我们会请senior residents讲述intern生存之道，如何准备

/speech therapist/pathologist懂。后者不会教你语法，而是教你运用那块口腔肌肉
发音，说白了就是accent reduction，而不是English tutor.

Zbbh在他之前的帖子里面已经提到过，根据往年的传统，ACAP SRF将在3月份Match Day
之后举行迎新会。时间地点如下。主要针对人群为intern to be和in training的
resident。对于正在准备申请的兄弟姐妹也欢迎，但是需要至少考过了Step1，不然很
难真正进入角色从中受益。如果注册参加会议的人员太多，超出会场容纳能力，已经
ECFMG certified同学会被优先考虑。

现在为顺序发愁。
我到底是应该把哪个放在前面？
医院不重要，重要的是什么科。
一直认为，pathologist不像是医生，因为他们不和病人直接接触。但是在申请过程中
，看法有一点点改变。觉得pathology也不错，life style不错，pay的也蛮好，还不是
很累。但总是觉得欠缺了点什么。
做internal medicine的话，应该很累的。我虽然很乐意很病人打交道，但是如果让我
一天12个小时一直干这个，恐怕我又受不了。
现在真的比较迷惑，我的职业规划很不明确。
问问板上曾经也像我这样摇摆不定的同学们，你们的选择是什么，为什么呢？

well, for me, i went the dumb way - just open my mouth. hang out with
people who speaks English. paid attention to what and how people say it.
made lots of dumb mistake, then tried again and again to better it. that's
