由于以前在国内有病理工作经历，想申请病理，但是昨天 在ASCP的网站上看到2012年

1. there is no description of microscopic findings, there is no way to tell

测评confirm过的话。 听力损失问题比较复杂，有可能只有某些声音频率上的损失，这
导致有的音能够听见，有的不能够听见。 尤其英文发音有长短，轻重之分。 另外吐字
不清的原因有可能是是听力损失导致的，有的发音他没法听见正确的发音，所以他不知
道怎么发。 吐字不清(articulation)的问题可以找speech pathologist 作evaluation
，这个可以通过学区或者你自己保险都可以，而且speech pathologist都可以检查是不
是tongue muscle 的问题。 还有注意力缺陷和行为问题跟听力是没有绝对相关的， 不
能通过这个来rule out 听力问题。 |

我是半路出家，但现在完全热爱上了这行。我的领域是关于个性化治疗方面的。基于测
序技术建立multiplex mutational profiling 方法。已经有一个整在交付检验科使用
。和moleculer pathologist 接触很多。其中就讨论到next generation 测序仪大量应
用后我们现在建立的方法还能用多久，我们现在的方法是基于经典测序法的。我的老板
是临床医生，他觉得至少还能用5年。但检验的的主任觉得next-generation用到临床还
会有很长时间。用到临床的东西必须是有很好地准确度和重复性，要经过很长时间的检
验。next-generation 最主要的问题是假阳性，是临床最不能接受的。一个例子就是
gene chip， 在美国是几乎不用于临床诊断的，虽然研究性试验室广泛应用（主任说的
，不知道对不对？），还有就是我们现在的方法能很直接的读出突变，不用分析序列。
据他们的说法一个专业的pathologist 是不会花过多的时间去读序列的，如果只为了几
百块钱。对于临床医生来说，只有出自一个‘CLIA'lab的有 |

其实这是一个很好的point，MLS的的工作不是这么难找，但是也不是很好找。整体来说
CLS/MLS的收入不高，非PhD的话没任何前途，工作稳定性比较高但是也不会比码农好。
我今天有时间就来说说我对这行的了解吧。
首先是MLS找工作。有很多相关的technician工作都可以是MLS，最近这几年分子相关的
特别好找工作，其他的基本都不太好找。原因是太多的相关检测被分子检测代替了。比
如microbiology, cytology都有点这个味道。CDC最近想把很多cytology的筛查都用分
子检测替代，可想而知这个对cytologist很不友好。microbiology也是一样的，MS和
NGS对病原菌的检测敏感度上来以后，很多实验室都开始用分子检测替代培养。毕竟打
个质谱几个小时出结果，培养一个菌需要几天。另外一个原因是现在大量的分子检测还
没有自动化，很多实验室甚至不用liquid handler做PCR。这也是molecular biologist
比较好找工作的原因之一。

pathologist review切片说只是普通的子宫肌瘤Fibroid。整一年后，她侧腰处疼的厉
害去了另一个医院ER，CT后发现大肠边和脾上长了两个瘤子。大夫说从没见过这种长的
瘤子，必须立刻手术切除脾和肠边的瘤子并且分析原因。这次手术后发现原来一年前
pathology错了，这两个瘤子都是一种子宫癌症扩散出来的，而且扩散是第一次手术造
成（手术用了一个叫morcellation procedure, 就是微创手术把瘤子在体内切碎取出，
这两年因为这种方法造成了很多癌症扩散的case，FDA去年发布警告不要继续使用这个
procedure）。后来跑了几个美国最好的肿瘤医院 MD Anderson 和Harvard medical
school. 得到相同的答案：第一次pathology错了耽误了一年，第一次手术
morcellation 造成扩散，而且暗示的说这是pathologist最基本的责任，不应该犯这种
错误。

specialty attendings like GNY pathologists.
I saw this kind of guys no matter male or female GYN/OB physicians at WU
fighting each other so ugly publically in tumor board, and even cursed one
of our female pathologist attending crying publically!

As a pathologist assistant,you will never have a chance to do any diagnosis
work.
Spoken English is important for a pathologisy assistant because you have to
input the description of the tissue by speaking,not typing. It will be
quicker. If your English is not good,The computer will no recognize you or

重新办（这个不能转的），所以你H1到美国来不是一个好主意。
加拿大的observation应该是一样的吧，不过observation帮助有多大，完全看推荐信强
不强，关键不是在哪做，而是哪里能拿到好的推荐信。说实话，哪怕你就是回中国去做
，也比没有好。我知道有CMG离开临床很长时间了，回国去做一年临床再来MATCH，也是
很有帮助的（我认识这个朋友是内科的）。
我们前一段来了个菲律宾的病理大夫，ID挂的是visiting pathologist，后来一问才知
道，就是通过朋友介绍过来的，准备要考USMLE，先来试试水。这半年混下来，也就算
是USCE了。不过这哥们水平不行，他自己说是在菲律宾做完住院医了，但平时跟大家一
起看片子，啥意见也说不出来，你既然是visiting pathologist，大家对你的期望还是
比较高的，几个月下来没显啥水平，这推荐信也要不到了。 |

handled by medical examiner or coronal office.
Find a lawyer specialized in personal injury (yellow book or mouth to mouth
reference, local lawyer is the best option) is the only way to get this
thing done.
Since the autopsy was performed by forensic pathologist, you don't need re-
do the autopsy. The lawyer will find his/her own forensic pathologist (as

I checked several times, but may still have some mistakes.
To always have the updated and accurate list, may I suggest that each of us:
1. copy the very last list posted,
2. check accuracy of your IVs, and
3. post BOTH your update + whole updated list
For Example:

发帖数: 325 | 49 严重同意！7个面试者加上咖啡妹妹， 麻将都够两桌了。大家一起好好努力呀， 怎么也要在6个spots里拿上3个offer， 就可以把牌桌长久的支在 Boston 了 !! LOL
按1：10 的比例， program 里大约会给60 个面试， 在此公布的中国人就占了7个。 衷心感谢Boston现在和以前的那些中国住院医，他们的表现一定非常出色， 否则program不会对中国CMG如此open!! 我们是受了他们“前人掘井”的积福了。
