ceiling couple month back, there is no asbestos. So maybe yours don't
contain asbestos at all, then you don't need worry:-). |

我找了5个一般做remodel的contractor， 都说他们可以做
说是把地面， 所有通风口封好， 用热水喷到popcorn上面， 然后铲掉。
完了之后， 磨平， 压花， 上涂料什么的， 说没有问题。
我的buyer agent也说不需要什么专业的去做。 说他的有些客户人家自己就除了。
但是我打电话给一个专业除popcorn的， 人家说还要申请几百块的permit， 然后才能
做。
所以我现在也很迷惑， 到底需要不需要专业除pop corn的。 |

建的房子就一定没有石棉了。即便有石棉，只要不破坏它，不让石棉飘到空气中就对人
无害。
除掉Popcorn Ceiling也不是难事。最简单的方法就是在加一层Drywall。 |

健康（得15到30年才能有成效）。 Popcorn Ceiling问题不大，因为不会有人没事会去
捅它，把它麼成面再吸到肺里。比照雾霾，popcorn ceiling is nothing! |

严格按照法律办事，必须找专业公司，去popcorn这么大的面积
绝对便宜不了，就算找一般愿意给你干的contractor，我quote了好多人
都四五千，我家面积还比网上大多数人的小得多
要是你们非房奴区的动辄几千个sqft的，便宜不了

You should be fine, since your popcorn ceiling textures were created using a
paper based or Styrofoam product to create the texture, rather than
asbestos. |

was banned in 1978, the sale of remaining manufacturer inventory was allowed
until the 1980s untill all the inventory were sold out. So it is hard to
tell if a 1985 ceiling still has it or not. The best way to know is to get
it tested.

容易清除，弄湿了直接可以刮掉，但如果盖上油漆就比较难清理了。如果不趁着还没有
