在一个小雨淅沥的早晨我们按计划出发去Poway爬山，忐忑中又带点期望，忐忑雨中我
们能否顺利登山，期望的是，老天看到我们渴望到达薯片山的决心能够停止哭泣绽放微
笑。可随着我们慢慢靠近目的地，淅沥小雨渐渐变成了大雨滂沱，心也在一点点往下沉
。不过，在等待队友的时候，惊奇的发现，雨越下越小，远处天边阳光若隐若现。
等找到了上山路线的时候，举目四望，简直是完美的登山天气, 幽静的山林湖泊，雨后
分外清新的空气，零零散散的登山者，天空时而多云时而撒下几束柔光。
嬉笑调侃之间，我们仅有的九个人就有三对人找到了校友，朝思暮想的薯片石也已经矗
立眼前了。大家不畏艰险一个个都爬上了与薯片石相连的大石头上，然后再纵身跃向薯
片石。站在薯片石上的那一刻，每个人都禁不住发自肺腑的开怀大笑。队友们互相照相

各位见笑了，本人喜欢hiking,但是经验少，而且刚刚戒烟，体力也不是很好，真心求
教大家的意见。
昨天去了potato chip rock, round trip 7.5 miles, 海拔2300 feet，trail比较陡，
属于中级难度，uphill走了3个半小时，downhill 2个小时，都慢于网站上的平均时间
（3个小时，1.5小时），但是这已经是我走过最远，最累的trail了。由于特别的干和
热，每人的用水量要2 L，我带的不够。 现有几个问题想请教大家：
1。上山时走到0.5-1mile的时候，就开始头晕+恶心，但继续坚持之后，就好了很多，
这是怎么回事？
2。和ld的鞋子都是ecco biom hiking boots,这是第3次穿，但是是第一次uphill long

cooking oil换成了cooking spray
煎炒炸换成了蒸煮烤
精米精面大部分换成了杂豆粥、土豆、豆腐、萝卜
吃肉最爱吃皮变成了连烤鸡腿都会先去皮
早餐从white bread,港式餐包，cookie,muffin换成了最低卡的面包片，(可是我会告诉
你我会偷吃1口ld的吗）
spread 从巧克力酱换成了火鸡胸，（也不会告诉你我会给ld涂完了添勺子的）
从看到小哈乐事打折就往家里囤变成了揪着心口抱着脑袋往前走（呃，group meeting
的时候都会吃几片）
从各种甜甜的水果变成了berry,苹果，柚子为主
从跳1集郑大妈就一身的汗到连跳2集都还好
从跑个八百和死过一次一样到按照心律控制可以跑个1小时（其实是4跑到limit，走3.6
到140，再4跑到limit的循环）

家看，跟我用超市红薯发的长得一样，不过超市红薯发得更小而已。据说这种叶子还不

又到花卉类地方，看见至少四个品种的sweet potato，叶子颜色，有紫色的，也有那种
嫩绿色的，植株比当菜菜卖的大多了。不知道这种叶子能不能吃？ |

书其实还没看完。看到一半的地方吧。
一些完全没有organize好的想法。
1. 在还没看书之前，测了一下平时easy long run的心跳。136-146之间。然后看书知
道怎么算MATHR.发现我如果take on LHR training的话。心跳要保持在134-144之间。
所以自己最舒服状态跑步差不多就是他建议的那样了。但是想想次次出门跑步都要像
easy long run的pace.没有speedwork,tempo, 难道不会很boring么？
2. 他说在build up aerobic base之前，任何anaerobic运动都会有坏影响。这点非常
turn me off.

The quickest and easiest way to grow sweet potatoes is to use cuttings.
Simply cut a piece of a runner, about a foot (30 cm) in length.

谎言之九：普兹泰的小白鼠实验结论不成立
【普兹太在电视上宣布他的实验结论的时候，他实际上还没有完成全部实验。按照
科学界的惯例，他应该在完成实验之后，写成论文，经过同行审稿通过，在学术刊物上
发表论文，然后才向大众媒体宣布他的发现。普兹太所在的研究所的领导见他违背学术
规范，向公众提前公布未成熟的实验结果，引起不必要的恐慌，觉得他败坏了研究所的
名声，决定给他处以停职的处罚，后来又强迫他退休。普兹太当时已经68岁，本来也该
退休了，但是在这种情况下强迫他退休，就很容易让人联想到是因为他发表了不同的学
术观点而受到迫害。普兹太从此被反对转基因的人士当成了敢于反抗黑暗的科学界的英
雄人物。
普兹太的实验存在的问题包括：试验的动物太少，不足以得出有统计意义的结果；缺乏
合适的空白对照，以及用于喂养老鼠的膳食营养结构不平衡，后者也可能导致观察到的
病变。我们做实验应该有一个对照，一模一样的两组老鼠，一组喂转基因土豆，一组喂
