多了吧。猫粮的成分是以含量多少来排的，Solid Gold以potato为第2主要成分，说明
它的肉类含量太少。evo是有potato，但它前4项可全部是肉。Solid Gold不但第2项就
是potato，第3项还不是肉而是Canola Oil。第5项居然是鸡肉味的调味剂。这样的粮食

面包的面团要远比包子的面团水分多些。
如果liquid过多，面团就会粘在面包机内壁上，转起来吃力。
恰到好处的水分，是面团摸起来是光滑有弹性，又不会粘在面包机内壁。
这个3杯面的recipe好处是
用fat和鸡蛋代替了一部分water
fat和鸡蛋若不是差的太多的话，不会特别影响到面包的质量。
potato water做出来的面包的crumb特别像sandwich bread均匀孔状。
你就是把几个potato切几块，放到水里煮，potato熟了后捡走，剩下的就是potato

前几天去纽约，过华盛顿大桥时候，对面的海景和另外一座桥真美，我用手机拍了一张
。那时就感叹怎么没有牛蛙的手机照来的震撼。
还想到电影when Sally met harry 里他们第一次碰面拼车从芝加哥开车到纽约，经过
的就是这座桥，此时响起这首好听的let's call the whole thing off,他们之后好几
年都看不惯对方，结尾发现对方竟是真爱。

，很大一部分是potato or potato starch. corn/white/rice 比potato 好多了，对于
狗来说weight control, protein% 比较重要的。太高的protein 对狗狗的肾脏有很大
影响。而potato 对狗和对人的效果是一样的（会长胖啦）。 |

里到处是油烟。Hood旁边放一温控摇床，酿个米酒，绝对容易。一套蒸汽灭菌锅炉，那
是必须的，保证每次发酵成功。储存市里面丢一套真空泵，连上双排管，（对，就是
chemglass牌的，post dog都认这牌子）对，还要附上氩气罐(氮气太便宜，不要)你说
要这设备干什么？连上真空箱，炸好的馓子、油条放里面，先上真空，然后氩气一直通
着，一万年后拿出来都脆蹦不坏。这不比大农村华人超市里面的冰冻油条强太多了。
老美的自来水还不够好，等上净水器，什么？ PUR是名牌？ 那多不专业， 要上
millipore的一整套，什么离子交换树脂，UV杀菌，0.22um过滤，一个都不能少。一测
电阻，哟，18.2M欧姆，看这数字就知道它够纯，喝着那个放心加舒心啊。瞧这水软的
，洗衣服还省肥皂呢，丈母娘一定喜欢。
咱有钱了，那么用盐就要讲究一个字，纯！不要被什么天然海盐糊弄，谁知道里面有些
什么重金属。sigma 99.5%的NaCl还不能彰显咱有钱人的气势，要上merck 99.99才好。

生活在美国，如果你不想吃转基因食品，那也不是不可能，但还是有相当难度的。我本

批准转基因苹果（北极苹果）在美国上市之后，我过段时间就去超市转一圈，很想亲眼
看看转基因苹果是什么样子，但到目前我还没有见过转基因苹果，更没有吃过转基因苹
果。我等得都有点急了。现在中国国内有句讽刺人的话：你就是吃转基因的命，操转基
因的心！我还真是这样的人。
转基因食品是否安全？对这个问题，挺转派（主要是农业生物公司和很多学生物的人）

人催。【小觅的美食日记】同时在我经常逛的几个论坛发，然后还有博客、校内、

没有什么新菜式，他想死湘菜了。（看来我的确是太久没有更新关于湘菜的美食日记了
哈，要自我检讨！）另外，昨天半夜就差一秒准备关电脑睡觉了，娇姐一条信息过来咨
询更新事宜，我又不好意思的继续写了半个小时，完成了一篇recipe的中英文版。虽然
天天被催多多少少有点压力，不过真的是感谢大家给我的压力，我可不可以再次自恋的
认为这种压力是因为你们太爱我和我的美食日记而致的呢？哈哈哈，不能让信任我的朋

嘴周红红的，应该是湿疹。
宝宝已经很久没有湿疹了。又看了一下昨天吃的Gerber的蔬菜pasta泥，里面有egg
white和whey(乳清from milk), 宝宝一直对牛奶过敏，鸡蛋只是吃蛋黄不过敏，没敢喂
过蛋白，牛奶的过敏反映就是长湿疹。
现在搞不大清楚是昨晚的蔬菜pasta泥让宝宝长得湿疹呢，还是今天刚吃的Spinach&
potato泥让宝宝过敏的呢？
早上起来的时候，没有看到嘴周发红，是吃了spinach&potato擦嘴涂油后才发现的。如
果是后者过敏的话，难道吃了5分钟过敏反映就可以这么快出现了？ |

抛砖引玉,写个Top 100 Baby Purees 上的方子,稍微改了一下,没加香料.PARSNIP我一
般是用BUTTERNUT SQUASH代替. 而且我一般用炒锅将裹了面粉的牛肉炸一下后就跟其他
蔬菜一起扔到慢烧锅里去用慢档炖个七八个小时,我买了个1.5QT的慢烧锅,专门给宝宝
做肉类食品,用来熬稀饭也很棒.

Chicken-Potato Chowder recipe
For 10 months and older.
1/3 cup diced and cooked boneless
breast or ground chicken
1/4 cup cubed and cooked potato
1 tablespoon shredded mild Cheddar or American cheese
1/4 cup formula or milk
2 teaspoons butter
Infant cereal
Mix chicken, potato, milk, and butter in a small saucepan. Simmer over low
heat for 10 minutes.
