1. $56,000 is for 9 months. You have many opportunities to teach in summer (
as math is the basic classes). Normally summer teaching salary is 1/12 or 1/
9 for
one class; you can teach up to 3 classes (as I know several professors teach
3 classes in the summer).
2. Living cost is reasonable - this is a big advantage. I bet you can buy a
big house with 200K.
3. 3+3 seems a lot. But ask the school how many preps you will have. If you
have <3 preps, which is easy to handle.

课，结果大家都搞不清 prep 的方向是啥。。。所以估计八年级以前 test prep
的数学课也不会考虑了。
当然我们把 afterschool 的数学课都给注册上了。。。但是以后估计也没那种
课了。。。趋势就是数学内容越复杂，外面可上的课越少。 |

其实俺们是真学数学，而不是学对付数学考试的 test prep。
而不像某些家长，口口声声说钢琴是艺术。。。其实大伙儿

么？。。。别说高中物理了，你现在不 test prep 的话，初二平几课堂测验都不一定
及格。。。哼哼。。。当然，如果是数学老师或推妈，另说。。。
我觉得可能是你刷题霸见得多，兴趣霸见的少。。。刷题霸没事就刷 test prep 玩，
所有考试一个不拉下是真的。。。但还是存在兴趣霸，除非被赶鸭子上架，否则根本不
刷 test prep。。。这个不是水平的差别，这个是类型的差别。。。当然，祖国从来不
care 是不是 false negative，反正祖国人多，有的是炮灰，也是事实。。。 |

型比赛，一整天的比赛， 俩前年各自还拿了ＮＹwestchester 总积分TOP 5
的奖牌。后来太花时间, 就停了”
国际象棋已经拿到州里总积分的 TOP 5 了，说明智力超群。。。那州考为啥
还需要课后加料 test prep？。。。对这个我很难理解。因为州考按规定而言，
学校老师会给娃 test prep，不需要课后加料 test prep。。。当然楼主的解
释是因为 ADHD，娃学校上课没有听。。。那这么一来，为啥国际象棋的上课，
同样的娃就能听？。。。我并不怀疑事儿的真实性，我只是找不到 plausible
的理由 how come this could happen？觉得很难理解。。。 |

发帖数: 22634 | 9 你读帖子读反了。。。俺是不喜欢 test prep，尤其是重复学校老师已经给
test prep 的内容，除非俺实在没有其他办法。。。为此家里也争论过很多
次。。。
这不等于说我不让娃做题，也不是说不下 required 之类的要求（当然尽可
能不要下 required 要求，即使下 required 要求也说明理由），而是仅仅
说关于 test prep，也就是说更多为了考试分数的目的。。。

始 decay了。俺弟当时就说高考前五六个月就数理化题目看到就烦，说最好的状态就是
高 三上中期去高考。”
这是 over test prep 的后遗症。。。多读几年书不等于多 over test prep。。。另
外读书也不等于 test prep。。。当然这也可能跟民风有关？ |

发帖数: 10908 | 11 纯从金牌战略看，我不知道白兔能不能全盘抄美帝的选拔模式。。。有一个 concern
就是，理论上存不存在这种可能，美帝相对而言，到 AMIE 选拔的阶段，over-test-
prep 的比例相对更低。。。如果这种可能性是存在的，那么 “选拔更少的人，但集训
更长时间” 的模式，不一定能照抄。
但是另一方面，AMC / AIME “大面撒网”，“题目更少的需要 special knowledge，
这样少错过 under-test-prep 的天才”，“题目适当减少专业型坑爹型，这样显著
降低竞选未遂人员被炮灰的可能（因为就当学实用数学了），利于长期稳定可持续
的群众参与度”，“伯乐选到 under-test-prep 的天才就狠抓一年” 。。。等等这
些，我觉得还是不分国情基本通用的。
当然我承认我只是咸吃萝卜淡操心。。。USAMO National Top 500 headcount

干净的话去买瓶prep solution，用microfiber cloth慢慢擦去。用prep solution之前
先沾一点点看对露出来的漆有没有影响，别把下面的漆弄坏了。如果prep solution也
没用，你就得用砂纸耐心磨了，用grit 1500以上的细砂纸wet sand，要足够的细心耐
心，很耗时间。 |

练阅读：杨鹏长难句分析 认真分析50个句子，看看小安阅读法，
语法：看曼哈顿语法并且配合练习OG和og语法分册的题 至少3遍以上，做prep 08/12题
看网友整理的prep 08/12语法笔记至少3遍
逻辑：只要能看懂基本能对，做做狒狒逻辑135题找感觉
数学，基础好直接上鸡精
作文准备模版看看题库写5篇就好
IR 把og 网站上的题做一遍
综合练习：去网站下载prep软件 （里面有2套题，考试前一个月做一套找自己弱点，可
以做好几遍，如果水平提高会有不同的题出来。考试前一周再做一套，同样做2遍）这
是最准确的估分考试不要浪费了。考前一个月开始2天一套GWD 做完要好好分析为什么
对为什么错。
所有资料在chasedream上都有。
秘诀：练习的资料不在多，在精。吃透OG和往年真题，达到看到题就知道考点在哪里你
就胜利了！ |

如果他家开大学，靠着自己家直升的傲人天赋，估计能在PO里面争一席之地
作为高中体育“名校”，IMG Academy成立得挺早，
早年间它不是个“正规学校”，但在奥林匹克运动项目，特别是网球项目上
还是很有名气的。什么阿加西，塞莱斯，小威，莎拉波娃，都在这混过
它家当年是不提供学位的，所以只举办Camp，
同时也为那些不想读大学，
想进入职业体育（特别是网球）的青少年选手提供职业训练
说白了，就是一个高档的“体育少年宫”

though are a must, were too lengthy to chew sometimes. Thank you and the
same Eric you mentioned for all the practices.
Just to add to Cocomilk's exellent post,
Go over all the mitbbs CS experiences you can find and you will gain
enormous insight on this exam.
ICE, go over all FA cases and, at a minimum, UW PE videos and cover all

发帖数: 2269 | 45 5月初开始教的，不知不觉已经是12月份了，7个月了，时间过得太快了。
刚开始只教晚班的med-surg，还有每周两次中的一次实习。后来7月份白班的老师缺人
，我就放弃了实习兼带了白班的med-surg and pharmacology，10月份晚班的课结束，
原想可以只带白班了,结果新的晚班又开始了，我挑了skills lab。
orientation：lecture的orientation只有2天，实习也是2天。当时很着急，感觉压力
很大，知识上我到不怕，就是怎么教课，怎么表达。
当时对学生的期望值太高了，第一节课就发现他们学得a+p都忘光了，好些学生连Ph值
都不知道。我的第一章就是最难的一章----fluid and electrolytes。当时花了很多时
间备课。基本是上2小时课，另外pay2小时的prep。但是我几乎需要5小时来prep。所以
刚开始实际上是赔钱。总结的经验是：不能对这些学生期望太高，他们毕竟是高中毕业
或者GED。需要用很多生活中的例子来打比方给他们解释。
等到教白班时，已经是第二遍教med-surg了，就得心应手了，2小时的prep刚好用，稍
