Furnace》一文报导：由中国科技大学、中科院物理所发展的新技术，已宣告成功。
太阳能级高纯硅，SoG Silicon（注：硅纯度至少要达到6个9，或杂质含量不得高
于百万分之一，PPM量级），是当前光伏产业最广泛应用的原材料。通常由西门子法生
产，但耗能过多，污染严重。有不少学者建议用直接纯化的冶金法取代西门子法，实际
上仍严重耗能，仅达5个9的纯度。有文献倡议用太阳能冶炼高纯硅，但或者由于太阳炉
成本太高、温度太低，或由于所选冶炼过程污染严重，均未获成功。
近来，陈应天教授等人应用他们所发明的无光象主动光学理论，廉价而成功地制作
