bar的东西，再把ski carrier／rack 装在cross bar上。 问题是为什么不直接把ski
carrier 装 roof rail上？ 只是方向换了90度，就不用装两样东西了。

定的，间隔24还是28寸忘了，所以你买哪种巨长的roof box的话支点还是只能放在中间
很近的两个点上。另外MDX的车顶很坑爹，从前往后是向下倾斜的，短的roof box装上
不明显，长的装上前头明显翘起来，跟要发射出去一样。 |

上次从COSTCO买了个storage shed，请handyman安装好了，可是roof shingles
不在package内，所以当天就没装。 后来自己去home depot买了shingles，钉子，
tar paper，然后联系了一在附近造房子的老模装。老模开价$75, 很reasonable，
就约好了时间。 接着是被老模放鸽子两次，上星期有连续下雨，眼看着屋顶反复受潮要
变形了，决定亲自出山。
之前google了十几个shingle installation步骤，最后看到了sears的video，
才得其要领。最关键的是第一行（屋檐）和每行的开始。其它的就是敲钉子了。我苦于没有
nail gun， 否则就太快了。一个shingle sheet要敲4个钉子，我就硬生生手工敲的。
呵呵。一共120sqft的屋顶我共敲了7小时！干完后很佩服装shingles的工人， 我虽
然没有恐高症，但站在9尺高的roof上有时腿还会发抖，不敢想象他们在二楼三楼屋顶
是什么滋味。另外切勿在太阳下装s |

roof balcony with a drain。inspector说这是个roof leak，问题可大可小，必须把
卧室ceiling打一个洞进去看。他拿测湿度的仪器在stain附近测了一圈，说是干的，因
为这两天雨下很大，所以是个good sign，有可能是以前的leak。他建议我去问seller
以前有没有过roof leak，如果seller说有，修好了，并且拿documents给我看，那么我
放心的话就可以相信他们。如果seller根本不知道什么leak，那这个问题就是active的
，必须得开个洞修。房子2002年的，其他状况都很好。请问我应该怎么办？这个leak最
坏会是什么情况？最多要花多少钱修？谢谢！ |

insurance are in same policy for $1000 deductible. I will claim car damage
anyway, so if I claim roof as well, no extra deductible.
My question is that if the premium will go up because of claim on roof, ot
it will affect future house sale.

如果有了roof vents， 就不能再开attic fan了。
soffits, attic fan(在运行状态）和 roof vents 这三之间没法形成完美的空气循环。
记得曾经有个同学的贴，很详细的讨论过这方面的，去年3月份左右的。 |

发帖数: 1579 | 29 找了两个roofer看了下房顶有没有什么问题需要修理，并给了估价。其中一个roofer提
到，我家有end to end vent，同时屋顶又有三个standard vent。他说，这样好像air
从屋顶两边的vent就流出去了，不会贯通整个roof。他建议把屋顶上左右两边的
standard vent 去掉，中间vent换成turbo vent。
另一个roofer当初来看的时候，没有提到这个问题。后来我发邮件问他，他说如果
attic很热，需要装。但他不建议用turbo vent，说会比较吵。建议用power vent或者
solar vent。
我们这里其实夏天不是很热，attic没上去过，不知怎样，不过attic上的insulation房
检的时候说是挺厚的。
两个roofer都提到了烟囱flashing要重新做的问题，一个报价400-600刀，另一个
roofer包括换roof vent，报价1100刀。
想问问版上牛人们对这个问题了不了解。有没有必要换roof vent？

我们家的roof全是soffit vent，很多vent被隔热棉(fiberglass insulation) 挡住了
，通风不好，白天很热。我试着把通风口附近的隔热棉压下去，一半的通风口好一些了
，但是attic还是很热，剩下的一半懒得搞了。 attic很热对我们没有什么影响，我们
的attic里面也没有什么空调电器之类的。我就是想了解一些这个roof 通风不好具体的
危害是什么？ 我邻居是contractor，他说我们这里你怎么通风attic都会很热。 |

那面墙对应的back side roof三年以内前房主刚换过。contractor说他们可能没换好，
或者没铺ice and water。
本人小白一个，不知道有没有被坑，大伙能不能给点意见？back side roof和front
side roof（跟墙的问题没关，但是年限到了，本来就想换）全换要130k-140k。 |

at all. After we cut bunch trees around the house, the condition of the
roof became much better.
if you want to dyi, just apply bleach or roof cleaner and let mother nature
do the rinsing for you. It took us at least 6 months to get rid off all of
the moss on the roof.
if you want fast result, you may brush the moss while it is wet, but make
sure presoak the affected area at least 7 days before you brush the area. |

To Diy roof, you need a good tools not only a hammer and nail.
I mean a air compressor and coil nail gun.

we got into the detail with them.
I figure out they try to short on everything.
So I do some HW and DIY.
Actually, it is not that difficult.just need a strong arm
material I used.

后,找到一家,接受上次的教训,要了3个Ref.都打过,反映很好.签了合同,他们只用了3天
就完成了这么大的屋顶.别家公司都要7天的.I am very happy the job they did. |
