今天下午在南卡Nichols的downtown吃到一张speeding ticket。
Ticket上写的Speeding 31/25， 42/25（42/25被划掉）。
警察说我是42，自己给减为31，罚款也由185减为81，4点减为2点。（181和4点都被划
掉了）
当时从一条路转到另一条路上，感觉不会开到42， 不过应该不止25.
警察说可以直接寄罚款，或者上法庭（1月16）。
刚刚在网上做了点homework，好像南卡如果警察了两次不上法庭才可以免ticket。
这是第一张speeding ticket，不知道该怎么做。是该上法庭还是直接交罚款？
我是北卡的驾照，如果上驾校免点的话，是应该上北卡的还是南卡的？查了一下，南卡
的驾校没有online的，要两个晚上，每晚4个小时。 |

去vermont办事，在黑漆漆的路上被条子pull over。条子说speed limit是35,我超了13
mph. 我说我刚转到这条路上，还没看到speed limit的牌子就被你pull over了。我也
不知道限速多少。我是真的没看到牌子。条子说我知道了，我就求情看能不能给个
warning，条子义无反顾的仍然给了我人生第一个speeding罚单。罚140，扣三分。跟我
说你不服可以上庭。
后来跟朋友聊，身边好几个人都有在vermont被开speeding罚单的经历，他们说那里的
警察专盯外州的车开罚单，因为知道你开过来vermont上庭的几率小。
现在求建议：罚款是不少，但是我觉得为了140要请假还要往返7个多小时去上庭实在是
不值，就当被狗吃了吧。但是这个驾驶记录扣三点实在是恶心到极点，这会涨车保险啊
。我在网上查的说vermont的这些记录不会报告给外州的DMV，是如此吗？我到底有没有
必要去上庭？还是交了罚款就什么事都没了？多谢多谢！ |

昨天下午从virgina开车回来，进了35后，车很少了，记得一路上的speed limit是70。
也没注意到什么时候limit降到60。。。所以LG一直保持在75左右开着，还有儿子坐在
后面说要pee pee得狠了，所以我们看这没什么车，所以想着找个路口有加油的地方下
来。。。突然注意到有辆警车藏在路边，赶忙减速。。。晚了，被pull over了。。。
女警察过来说，这儿是60，你开到了78（她说她用雷达测的），二话没说，开了张
ticket。上面也没有说罚多少钱，就是在一个>30MPH over posted speed, required
appearance。然后告诉我们什么时候上庭。可是。。。。我们没有超过30啊，她为什么
要check那个>30mph的呢？？查了查，这个得罚2500刀！！

ticket并没有写具体速度，当时应该确实超速了一些，但是也沒看到路上的speed
limit，荒郊野外的local路，车速都比较快。有几个问题请教：
1)需要多少天内respond to clerk? 罚单上警察手写了90天联系clerk，但我怎么觉得
是30天啊。
2)上网一查发现小秘登记系统写错了了一个字母,比如n写成了u，罚单是手写的很容易
认错。这个有没有可能利用起来dismiss掉ticket? 地址也是错的，搬家以前的地址。
但是驾照号码和车牌号估计不会错。
3)去年差不多同时间在别的county也稍有冤一点拿到一张speeding ticket，算算下来
现在还不到一年似乎不能再次选traffic school. 能否拖到过一年再处理，然后上
traffic school?
另外，求建议有没有办法跟court斗一斗争取减免罚款甚至dismiss掉。能不超速最好，
但是在某些情况下适当超速也是路上常有的事情，很不幸被没有任何标志的条子抓了。 |

university & rural, speed limit 35mph, 我开到47(当时以为limit是45)
因为我从terrace右转上rural往北开，在terrace和university之间都没有speed sign,
一路拍了几张照片证明确实没有speed sign，
同时去网上打印了一些附近street的speed limit(35,40,45)，证明very confusing
JUDGE都很认可，officer很郁闷,搞定！
大家有相似情况的不妨一试！
在RURAL上一定要格外小心啊，速度变来变去的.. |

第一个倒霉鬼...
ticket没有写金额，有相关上庭的所有信息，也没有点数，不知道一般会怎么处理呢？
还有，发现关于介绍的地方有如下字样：

where my club head speed max out when I did that.
The max club head speed is the hardest swing you can do while still hitting
the ball with the sweet spot of your drive. I can reach 250 yards with a mid
-90 swing speed. The key is to hit the sweet spot, the speed will come
natually. |

Your max swing speed is depends on your physical ability. It hard to
increase assume you have a good swing already. It's more tend to decrease
because we are getting older. But swing instruction can help based on my
experience.
There is another key index is smach factor. Which is the ball speed/club
head speed. it can be range from 1.3 to 1.65 depends on where you hit the
ball on your club face, attack angle etc. You can calculation what's the
difference it can make.

一个警官宣读了对我的citation,说什么警察目测发现我超速，随后
用radar gun confirm了我speeding @ 55mph in a 35mph zone.
还好昨天我做了充分的准备，实地拍摄了十张照片，然后四张一页
打在gloss paper上，下面加了注解，然后还把事发路段的地图在
mapquest上打印出来，然后加了标示。我的申诉主要有以下两点
一是从我转弯上这条路之后一直没有speed sign,事发地点之后两
米才有了speed sign;二是从事发点到我被捉的地方（一个红绿灯）
只有0.17mile,我说如果我有55mph,只需要11秒，那我根本不可能
在那个红绿灯那停下，因为警察那时候有个老太太在他车前过马路，
他等了好一会儿才从那条小路开出来捉我。
地方官员听得津津有味，然后称赞了我的照片和底图为best visual
defense,然后宣布这张ticket被dismiss乐。呵呵，少损失$175,保险费
上减少的损失至少每年$300.

am thinking of questining the police statement that I was driving at 80+mph
..
1. I was following the traffic flow before I pulled over..
2. The police did NOT flash his lights until I VOLUNTARILY pulled over to
the right shoulder. (This is hard to prove..only by my own testimonial)
3. The police could even write down a wrong time on the ticket..

My vehicle has high idle speed (> 1000) after start. If I shift to D after
start without waiting, I can feel some shock from hood. If I wait for a
while let the engine warms up, the idle speed can be lower than 1000, then
there is no such issue after shifting from P to D.
How to adjust the idle speed?

Section 22352 (2B) of the California Vehicle Code states a 25 mph speed
limit is in effect when a driver is approaching or passing school buildings,
or school grounds where a "school" sign is posted -- provided children are
present. "Children are present" generally means going to, or leaving, the
school (such as walking on sidewalks on both sides of the street where the
school is located) during school hours or during noon recess periods.

生平第一张。
自东向西，在城郊。开44左右，警察测46。警察说是school zone限速25。但是警察只
给了一张普通speeding ticket，而非school zone speeding.
问题是哪条路我开了至少100遍了。超速的地方确实有学校，但是第一没有任何标志牌
，地上也没涂任何school zone字样；第二当时已经9点半了，路上没有任何学生。另外
，我被抓的地方西0.5 mile左右有限速40的标志，东100米处也有限速40的标志。
我查了州的traffic law, 说school zone限速必须要满足4个条件，其中第二个说必须
要有明确的限速开始和结束的标志；第三个条件说必须children are present. 显然这
2条都不满足。
我决定明天就去拍几张照片然后上庭。大家说这个ticket 免掉希望大不大？ 我就怕
argue 失败拿了张school zone speeding的ticket就麻烦了。 |
