the shop at riverside is also my favorite.
in Short Hills you pretty much have only Legal as a decent rest.
at riverside you can have steaks, steaks again, seafood, american, italian,
chinamerican, mexican on premise and even 一番 Japanese right next door.
and another 30 seconds down the road you have Brazilian meathouse, Lotus
Cafe and Five Guys.
All eats are open on Sundays when stores are closed. |

Go to Cliffs Steakhouse in Englewood Cliffs.
They sell sizzling before they sell steaks.
If you don't mind driveing 30 minutes to Palisades Center Mall
Then go to 4th floor. Look for Hibachi Factory
Super fun food. Nice service!

their menu either.
So we went there for their Happy Hour (4:30 to 6:30pm) after Rose Garden.
Ordered Oyster Shooter (one oyster with some sauce/wine), goat cheese fatuda
, steak and scallop. LD ordered some wine ( I am not wine drinker).
Strongly recommend goat cheese fatuda and scallop. Steak was ordered well-
done but it's overdone to us :).
Still miss 法国鹅肝 :( |

发帖数: 117 | 17 Long Wood Garden长木公园要是去过的，都会感到不太值得，门票很贵，但里面的植物
和环境，还不如广州的华南植物园，但门票价格却不便宜。6年前我们去过，当时的票
价已经是$12/每人，如今可能已经涨了不少吧。
倒是Art Museum值得一去，里面有不少被盗往西方的中国国宝。当然，也有不少有价值
的东西方艺术品和文物值得欣赏。当然，门票也不便宜的。
至于cheese steak去哪里吃比较正宗，那要到南费城9街与Passyunk Ave交接的那两间
比较正宗。克林顿当年当总统时，就曾经到过上述的其中一间品尝过cheese steak。至
于是哪间，你们自己到店门口看克林顿的照片就知道了。 |

also chain store. Been to the topnotch, at least money wise "morton's
" and "prime rib", I go to can't-find-anywhere-else names this time here. I
went to Jim's Steak at the South St. yesterday, yeah it's Philly and give me
the "whiz with". Today I went to Almez at Walnut St&20th St for Ethiopian
raw steak, "tartar".
They are both way cheaper than the big names but they are both unique and
awesome.

我看了下停车费还好，independence visitor center一天就18块钱，应该能cover周边
所有景点（independence hall， us mint等等), 还能在chinatown吃个饭。
唯一没法步行搞定的就是pat's king of steak. 开车去找趴位或者停车场方便么？或者
大家有什么附近的尝cheese steak的地方？ |

refreshing. Also, Valencia Hotel has one of the best food in La Jolla area.
They also have some seats with ocean view. Another good place is the
coronado boathouse. Not necessarily oceanview besides the boats, yet one of
the best steak restaurants in SD. |

上周末去了Chula Vista那家，吃了牛舌，steak，辣牛肉，猪肉的。俺还尝了一个牛头
的。
本来就是冲着牛舌去的，后来发现steak味道也很好。其他几种一般。
狠便宜，一般的$2，牛舌的$2.25。俺大概吃了7-8个有点撑。另外墨墨的类似奶昔的饮
料也不错，随便refill。
据说National City的一家种类更多。 |

etc. Those are inexpensive ones, but good enough to entertain guests. U can
order other dishes if you do not like steak, but your guest will be happy.

Steak差点），$29.99/lb，柜台里的人说开水里煮不超过一分钟或者和蔬菜一起略炒。
可以再买瓶Pinot Noir，据懂酒的人说这酒就是要跟牛肉一起吃。当然我喝不出感觉来

早上去walmart储备后去mount rainer，
下午进公园，看christian fall 和Narada Fall；途径reflection lake后（后来后悔
没在这停留照相），匆忙赶往Sunrise
晚上入住paradise inn（200多一晚很贵，条件却很一般，第二天就明白为啥这么贵了）
day2
本来盘算早上去reflection lake 看日出（据说拍日出好地方，可惜雾太大，放弃），
在paradise inn边上走了两个简单trail，rainier雪山下美丽野花确实是家境
下午离开去olympic NP,途径ruby beach，3rd beach

受到花花大侠的撞车指南的启发，我觉得写个餐馆指南，尤其现在每天面临失业的压力
，不知道还能在休斯顿呆多久，我就先攒点人品，造福群众。以后大家来休斯顿，也可
以多点选择，不必总是去中国城吃饭。相信中国城地区的餐厅大家都知道，这里我就不
赘述了，只说其他国家地区和风味的。我只说 authentic & exotic 的餐厅。厨师一定
要是那个国家的，服务员说着带有那个国家口音的英语，最好连帮你停车的小哥哥都是
那个国家来的。每个餐厅的具体地点大家自己去 Google ，我也不慢慢打了。
先做背景介绍。 Houston ，休斯顿 是美国第 4 大城市（前三名依次为纽约，洛杉矶
，芝加哥）。火箭城位于 Harris County 中心，也是 Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown
组成的大都会地区的经济中心。这是美国第 6 大的大都会地区，总计人口约为 6 百
万。由于石油工业和航运工业，休斯顿地区的人口组成非常多样化，各个国家的移民和
临时务工人员都有，人口的多样性也给休斯顿带来很多充满异国情调的菜馆。

Taste of Texas时，发现店家还特意添加了为中国客人的服务项目。 而饕哥却没享受
到那项专项服务， 可能waitress看出了饕哥是属于在屯子里混过较长时间的了。
至与Mel's， 饕哥应该是近几年里去的最多的老中了。因为在我去过不下15次的映像中
，好像从店员到顾客，每次我都是店里唯一的非白人。 他们家的Burgers, Chicken
Fried Steak，Fried Onions 都不错，但是Rib Eye Steak就太不行了。
另外推荐一下Luling City Market BBQ, 尤其是Spicy Lines 再配上他们家独特的BBQ
Sauce很不错的。 |

它家和 Pappas基本可以算是德州最大的两家餐饮集团。所以它家包括了各种从普通到
最好的餐馆，像Kemah Broadwalk上所有的餐馆，Downtown的水族馆餐厅都是它家经营
的。
Vic & Anthony's, Brenner's at Bayou,还有Morton都算是它家第一档的steak house
。价格和Oceanaire差不多。Vic&Anthony's的steak味道最好，还没有Pappas
steakhouse的那么咸。Brenner's的服务最贴心，适合各种纪念日。Morton最方便，就
在Galleria对面，就是人多上菜慢。
不过Oceanaire的Oyster是我现在看到品种最齐全的。还有它家的waiter可以帮你整鱼
取骨，看起来很新奇。 |
