能够给相似背景的人一些参考吧，尽量以叙述的方式描述自己的情况，不提供建议。用
的版上常见的某律师，看到版上有不少对律师有意见的，我就不透漏更多律师信息了。
本人对律师持中性态度，更具体的请参看下文。
背景：
生物千老，其实也不老，去年夏天拿到的PHD，目前是OPT。
PL letter里面提到了10篇发表的论文，五篇一作（包括co-first 但我名字在前），其
中两篇是REVIEW文章，两片10分左右的research文章，一片MS时候的。其他包括一片
CNS挂名二作，PNAS及类似level三篇论文中间作者。另有一篇review文章只是被接受了
，还没在线，提供了接受的邮件。递交时申请时GS引用数350+
推荐信，我自己联系好了6+推荐人，律师说四个就够，只给DRAFT了四封推荐信，有偷
懒嫌疑。
审稿，40+，有两个杂志给了10+，其他杂七杂八的一些。感谢版上很多网友的提供。
准备过程：
整个过程自己实在太过拖拉了，自己表示自责，也希望警示后人。上述论文有6篇是15

两个summary，一个总结我phD的工作跟公司工作关系不大，一个总结我postdoc以来的
工作如何跟公司工作相关。我本来是打算按她说得上在两个summary。但是我今天login
之后发现我的status变成shortlisted，就犹豫要不要上载那两个summary，因为很怕画
蛇添足。我不愿意上载那两个summary有一下几个原因：
1。虽然我postdoc的工作比phd时候的研究稍微偏了一点应用，但是还是不够直接和公
司业务方向相关，虽然principles类似。所以我怕画蛇添足，summary讲的过于具体，
公司一看做的东西不怎么相关，连onsite interview的机会都没了。
2。现在status变成shortlisted，上载新的东西不知道是加分减分，是不是应该以静制
动？
3。今天电话面试我这个白女和我有点小过节。按理说上礼拜我应该campus interview
的，但是我按订好的时间去了之后，那个白女说不能面我因为我是postdoc，但我告诉

发帖数: 36 | 13 最近几年，由于机缘巧合，在SF某大公司从研发部门被挖到了HR部门负责研发部门的招
聘和Staffing，看了很多简历。发现简历其实已经成了找工作最大的障碍（当然，除过
猎头直接来挖你的情况）。
1. 首先说几个数据
－ 每份工作现在都能收到100+的简历
－ 大部分公司每个recruiter都在同时负责20个以上open的职位
－ 每个Recruiter每天都要看至少30-50份简历，同时还要承担安排面试，boarding新
员工的各种繁重劳动。
所以，基本上只要一份简历在前5秒不能抓住recruiter的眼球，基本上就与这份工作无
缘了。同时，另一个极端是，有些人的简历被过度装饰了，一来没必要在简历上花很多
锦上添花的功夫，因为只要得到第一个个电面，简历这张纸本身就没用了。二来大部分
公司都是用简历解析器，所以你做得再漂亮也没用，反倒是在简历的结构上要花功夫。

？我有个Distinct Author Summary,但是我不记得我什么时候建过这个。只是很久以前
我在ISI web of science里面register了一个researchID,然后加入了自己的文章，现
在我点击其中的某篇文章进去，然后在author 一行点我的名字，会弹出一个新的窗口
，是Distinct Author Summary,里面有我原来发表的文章，最近我又发表了一篇文章，
我想把它加到这个Distinct Author Summary里面，可是怎么加呢？在ResearchID里面
倒是很容易加入publication，但是加入的新文章，在Distinct Author Summary里面确

5份推荐信，1个中国，2个美国，1个法国，1个澳大利亚。
其中一个是博士导师，一个是评审期刊的主编，还有一个是引用过我文章的教授。
有一个专利，还有几个学生奖，和小媒体报道，怕rfe，所以都没写
跟wegreend律师事务所签的approved or refund的合同。3月31号received，4月7号
approved。
去年10月底决定申请EB1A，同学推荐的wegreend。11月初签好的合同。一共大概花了5
个月左右弄完。自己需要做的就是写一份research summary，还有寻找推荐人。这份
research summary很重要，主要的研究内容和亮点都是从这份summary挖掘出来的。律
师的PL和推荐信也是根据这个summary来写的。research summary大概写了1个多月，主
要在推荐信，花了很长时间，因为大部分人都没有回应。推荐人找了2个多月。律师的
PL还有推荐信，分别会在10个工作日之内完成。效率很高，写的非常朴实，没有很夸张

大概从2月份开始写Research summary 拖拖拉拉写了2个月 只写了3个project summary
然后被律师打回来提了意见。然后自责确实是自己太懒，大部分是摘抄发表文章的
abstract 没有认真的总结研究的内容和意义 于是安心下来老老实实的重新写了一版
这次总结了6个project summary 然后technical和layman都分别认真写好，发给律师后

有 4000元的股票loss 是 wash sale.
我知道这部分是不能抵税的. 我担心如果不体现在税表上, 会不会影响我2017年的税.
怎样才能体现这部分loss在税表上? 该怎么填?
打比方, 我2017 如果股票盈利 1000元, 实际上 我还是 1000-4000= -3000元loss
如果2016税表不体现那部分-4000, 我2017 就变成 +1000, 那就要报盈利税了. 晕

一（8/8/2011）签美国签证的经历。
《《《TORONTO 美国签证》》》
STEP 1: 填写DS-160表
https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/
美国签证的第一步，就是要进上面那个链接填写一份DS-160表。因为下一步在网上预约
美国签证的时候，需要填写网上提交这份表的CONFIRMATION NUMBER,才能继续交钱和进
入预约窗口。
这份表一开始就要选择在哪儿申请签证，如果是加拿大多伦多就选 “CANADA,TORONTO
”，填写这份表时请记得经常点击“SAVE APPLICATION”，因为如果不SAVE 一直一页
页往下填，它很快会默认没动作而自动跳出来，那样就会丢了之前填过的没存下来的所
有东东啦。
***注意*** 在这份DS-160 表里你需要UPLOAD 一张PASSPORT SIZE 照片，关于这个照
片的事是很变态的，就算当时UPLOAD 的时候 OK了，等去了签证处签证时，还是要被查

帖，希望大家不要被一些马甲帖广告帖所骗，慎重考虑选择律师。
WG 和Guo两家律师对比
1. fully refund的合约上的区别
wegreened家是case不过只要第二次没有file就可以fully refund。郭家是要两次case
没过才给refund，而且只要第二次pl draft好律师就可以不退任何律师费。
2. 回信速度
wegreened家一般24小时内回信。郭律师是在可以快速回复的时候才回复很快，对于需
要时间回复或者是不愿意给出确切答复的时候就回复的比较慢。
比如：lz问过郭律师他们律所在nsc区域最近eb1a的通过率，大家也知道nsc现在杀手如
云，但是郭律师过了两天只回复说让秘书update最近的case然后去网页上查，但是上面
并没有写明tsc还是nsc。
lz还问过郭律师关于准备ps （他要求的文件）的一些问题，模版上有的东西不是很清
楚，但是他一般就是把模版上的东西再copy一遍发过来。

Exhibits Index 和 Outline of Contributions 作为对本版众多热心ID的回报吧。如

我的case他引一项很弱，所以我Exhibit Index中有意突出了一些闪光点，在文章（18
－65）、引用（69－79，141－145）和审稿（80－87）方面和网上看到的模板以及律师
提供的都有所不同，有意突出了自己认为比较强的方面：由于是跨学科，杂志分布比较
广，SJR 排名里找到了最适合自己的用上了。希望对和我情况类似的有所帮助。
Exhibits Index是我自己准备的，分享应该没问题。PL、RL 有很多律师的努力在里面
，就不共享了。下一片介绍 Outline of Contributions，是在律师给基础上大幅修改
了的，只列出 Outline。

土博，2006年来美薄厚，然后转公司，不久前又换了公司。
claim了老三样。
文章12篇，10篇为一作，其中5篇英文一作，专业主流journal,有三篇中文。
google scholar引用 280个，其中两篇专业排名第一的journal文章引用都上百，一篇
为most cited文章。一篇中文引用30个，其它文章引用都是个位数。我在想journal 排
名对引用影响有那么大吗？
审稿29次，12个journal，分布在世界各地
推荐信5篇，其中3个独立推荐人，都在美国找的人。
准备过程：
过程比较痛苦，最大的困难是我脸皮薄，非常不愿找陌生推荐人。第二个困难是我不愿
