technical specialist少于10个，没有人有PhD degree）。工资也比较低，DC里，70K.
不知道是等等看，还是接受算了呢？上半年看到很多招人广告，现在看到少多了（
lawcrossing.com上看到的）。比较烦。
比如进去先有个一年经验，转到大firm的机会多吗？谢谢。 |

writing sample)都仔细改过，忙乎了好几个月找technical advisor的位子，但一直没
有好消息。
LD说我申请上可能有点问题，虽然经济不好，但也不至于这样。说不要怕吹牛，至少争
取一个面试机会再说。我现在比较郁闷，真的不知道哪个环节出了问题. 身边的朋友多
是理工背景的，可问的人不多。真心请教这里的id,能否给一些建议，以我们这种背景
，准备申请材料究竟要注意些什么,law firm究竟希望怎样的candidate. 多谢。 |

through the technical specialist stage before they go for law school. The
only advantage is you MAY save some tuition. Not every law firm is willing
to pay for that though. Among all the IP attorneys, people who have gone
through this route are the exception. |

technical specialist；当然更多的是无所谓。。。
resume里或者是interview的时候最好不要把将来的倾向性表现的过于明显，可以说想
先做着看，再看自己是否感兴趣决定以后是否去读law school，留个活话，其实一般情
况也是实话。 |

degree told me that you have to be really really good in your major. I doubt
it, to some extent, because I think patent work does not require one to be
a researcher in one technology or science area. Anyone has any thoughts and

遇差距蛮大的，所以我过了bar升到patent agent后薪水有个大的跳跃，大约接近40%把
，主要还是起薪太低了，最初找到这份工作的时候没有别的offer所以没法讨价还价，
当时只有接受这个低起薪，呵呵。 |

所谓万事开头难，开始浏览IP Firm的career website，发现opening很少，而且分类比
较模糊，想向前辈们请教一下。
感觉有些firm直接就有technical advisor program，有些把specialist归在
professional staff里面，还有些归类在laterals里面，请问下有什么区别吗？
如果申请的话，是不是无论有没有opening贴出来都可以把简历直接发给recruiting
contact？对简历的格式和长短有没有什么要求和范例呢？
另外一个问题，考lsat和patent bar对找specialist职位有帮助吗？

话，希望OB能传相关文件给保险公司，证明是medically necessary，能把两次费用都
cover了。结果不但不成，这次收到的保险花费的explanation，上面竟然又冒出个保险
公司拒付的费用，什么technical component费用，NND，$465!比ultrasound还多不少。
有家长曾经收到过这样的账单吗？这个是什么费用？自从喊OB office传材料给保险公
司后，就越弄越乱了。
OB office给的答案，和查了网上的资料都太专业了，一会儿好像说是医生拿到
ultrasound的片子进行分析和作报告的费用（但第一次做的B超，医生也分析了，怎么
没charge保险公司呢？），一会儿又是医疗TC code什么的，是provider向保险公司争
取什么reimbursement......虽然还没收到正式的账单，但保险公司的费用通知单上已
经说是这个费用让insurent自己承担了。有谁知道这是什么吗？美国的医疗越来越糟了
