有一个保险公司marketing analytic职位的电话interview 说好了是technical的。
请教一下,一般会怎么问?谁有面经啊?本人statistis PhD candidate.
是不是做模型的比较多,保险公司做什么model呢?应该看看些什么东西准备呢?比如
regression,logistic?machine learning? 或者design?
另外想到一个可能的面试问题,就是问如何找出一个顾客换了保险公司的原因。不知道
怎么回答。
请大侠们指教。

technical的问题一般都很简单很少有难题,似乎根本看不出来真的有多少水平。何况
大多数人还都是做好了准备去面试的,恐怕这种题都是砍瓜切菜吧。
我面试的时候好几个interviewer对我做过的一些project感兴趣,并让我讲给他听。我
说我们有project page可以看,大多数人的反应都是“我就是要听你说”。他们似乎还
是更看重这种解释问题谈论一个话题的能力。甚至有的人专门一段时间纯聊天,聊公司
聊环境聊兴趣什么的。似乎他们更希望招一个代码上差不离,平时可以聊天hang out的
同事甚至朋友。

每次面试的时候,对方会问,你做的工作有啥technical challenge,说实话,做的事
情没有啥challenge啊,user也不多,data也不大,结构也不麻烦,但是,每次不说点
什么又觉得似乎不好。
如果这种问题,大家都从哪些方面来回答的?

Recruiter今天来电没offer,当是一个经验了,现在回赠本版。
我找的是Youtube Tech PM的位置,电面是和老板谈,问了经典的estimate问题,还有
要是网站用户需求大于capacity时该怎么办,顺利拿到on site。
两个礼拜后on site, 第一轮: 白人Engineering Manager,问了很多PM的问题,要我
举例,画图,还有很多open ended questions,这轮我答得很好,后来recruiter说这
个白人就是我传说中的strong endorser。第二轮,烙印seniorPM, 这个家伙一进来就
给我脸色,说我resume这个为什么这样,那个为什么这样,然后说你不要说得太长,之
后你就不够时间做题,结果真的被他说中了。第一个问题:估计三藩市有多少地方可以
买咖啡喝,怎么来test你的结果,第二个问题:为什么太阳和月亮同时出现的时候月亮
从来不是圆的?尼玛遇到极品brain teaser了,我举了几个可能性都被他说I am not
convinced,也不给提示,时间一到就结束了。我想在这轮被黑了。 午饭是和老板吃,

比如新的软件系统的手册
基本上是有理工科背景的文科毕业的美国人在做
写得好的documentation看起来非常舒服 有条理又清晰
要会很多word pdf chm 之类的编辑技巧
写作本身也要好
和技术部门的沟通很重要

小弟ECE小硕,这周刚通过Google Technical 电面, 进入 host matching . 求Google
内部各位大牛refer. 十分感谢. 日后发面经回报本版.
小弟有多年C/C++编程经验,对Java也颇为熟悉, 国内在intel 和 Samsung都有几个月
的programming 实习经验, 所作工作在Computer Vision 和 machine learning 领域.
此外对Linux开发环境熟悉,有基本的MySQL DBA 经验. 熟悉operating system 和
database. 跪求refer.

Developer relationship manager主要是和business team有合作。一半partner
manager一半strategic analyst吧。

刚打算找工作,phd时候一直做的是privacy&security部分的东西,题还没刷,收到一
封来自Google的Technical Recruiter的来信,说想know more about me, 有点莫名其
妙,开始以为是骗子,查了一下名字,果然是google内部人员。
还没回信,不晓得跟Recruiter聊什么,能进google当然好,但现在什么也没准备,是
不是必挂啊?那以后要是自己刷了题准备好了再申google,是不是有前科了更不好被
google招进去了?

我上一个工作的一个manager人很好, 对我也很好, 但是就是不太涉及和懂我的
project.可以用这样的人做reference吗? 就是说, 查reference的时候, 主要是盘
问你以前的technical capability (project details) 或是 问你的人品/为人处世 怎
么样?
要面试的公司要3-6 个reference, 说了如果onsite interview后觉得满意, 决定
move forward后才会联系referecene. 那这种情况是查什么? - 履历上project的真实
性? techinical details? 人品?

本人master+7年经验,骑驴找马最近看上一个G家local的职位(不是加州),google的
technical solution team,职位是system engineer,不是software engineer。
“The role will involve a lot of debugging, bring-up, integration and
customization of software”。
题还没刷完所以还没赶投,但是工作背景非常match,这么多年一直都是做和这个职位
相关的东西。不知道版上的各位大侠有没有了解这个gTech team的。能给说说吗?
如果还是靠刷题,那我就等准备的差不多了再投.
背景合不合是不是要等过了general hiring等到了team matching才有用?

小硕一个,在一家中型公司做了将近10年R&D chemist,基本就是在lab, 有两个
technician帮着干活,工作也算稳定,当然也没什么上升的机会。现在有一家化工公司
给我一个senior tech servie representative的职位,salary跟我现在差不多,有15%
target的bonus, 另外公司提供lease car。这份工作主要是跟客户打交道,给他们提
供技术帮面的支持和咨询,出差会比较多,network应该也会扩大很多。
大家有经验的给咨询下,是应该折腾还是不应该折腾?谢谢!
