Pitt Tunnel，下班走Liberty Tunnel。还有一条山路备用。
不开车，可以坐４１路或轻轨到downtown，再转bus(N多)到匹大。

发帖数: 3558 | 5 路程不远，google map 说只要十几二十分钟，但是进城必须过tunnel (好像是两个
tunnel 里必须过其中一个吧，反正都很慢），进城的公路差不多也就是两条，都是交
通很慢的那种。有些人说开车还不如做 trolley 换车快。之前我们找过Mt. Lebanon
的realtor, agent 自己都说非rush hour 准备提前45到1小时出门；我们开了一次，要
超过45分钟。如果有兴趣的话，自己查下google map应该可以看到交通拥挤的状况。
学区来说是很好的，但是因为进城更慢，所以很多中国人选择住北面的wexford, 距离
上来说应该更远，但是开起来会快一些。
其实我觉得fox chapel 之类的还可以。学区不算最好但也可以，坐公车是可以到的；
开车也不远。 |

比不上真正的
天窗。sun tunnel也很亮堂，对于浴室、walk-in closet这种地方很推荐，厨房、客厅
、主人房就

人上班时间开车西向进旧金山很堵，要过一个tunnel，如果tunnel内有事故就谁都别走
；反之如果东向去Walnut Creek上班就很舒服，against traffic.
坐bart的问题是两个地铁站每天很早就没车位了，预订车位的话现在排到2000多号，有
一个办法是每天花钱停在commercial停车场，一天10块好像有个是15。如果住Moraga必
须开车才能到bart站，因为中间有段路很窄，车速很快，骑自行车很危险。
高中属于Acalanes学区，其中Campolindo和Miramonte都是非常好的高中，剩下两个高
中也不差，越往东就越接近Walnut Creek的学区，有些Walnut creek学生会overflow到
Acalanes来 and you don't want that. 整个地区从学区、治安、邻居组成角度都可以
住，关键是何时、在哪里上班，怎么commute的问题。

看到我本人不喜欢看到的一幕(经常看, 烦了). 顺手照了几张. 来表示真实性.
我不反对政府救济low income person and family. 但是...
有一个homeless person不知道为啥又倒在tunnel的platform 上面.
我近看, 也不觉得有很严重的问题. 我数了一下, 有12位政府人员围着
这个人, 大部分都在聊天似的有说笑. 忙的就是两个救护人员.
在platform照了相, 待了20分钟后, 我来到街面上, 看到有两辆警车,
一辆fire engine, 一辆911. 妈的就为了这一位.
你如果在pioneer square 每天等车的话, 这个是家常便饭.
这帮homeless的为了洗个澡, 打911. 进harberview. 问医生要drug,
搞不到, 自动消失. 过个月, 再来.
911车, 一叫, 按现在的市价, 起码700.
如果你是轮子, 你反中, 我先替你说了. 在中国, homeless是不可能得到这种优待的.

发帖数: 1269 | 28 昨天顺利完成了60英里的慈善骑行，连头带尾75英里，也算是我今年骑得最多的一次（
平时一般都是20-45。惭愧）。
先绕曼哈顿一周（对骑30英里的人来说，就是全部路程）。人很多，大拨轰，感觉很多
时候就是“what not to do on a bike”的现场示范。这一段比我平时在出租车流里更
要小心，不过也可以理解，有人专门为这次活动租的车。 骑过 FDR，Westside
Highway，和 Lincoln Tunnel 感觉还是很不错，一直是沿着河边骑。尤其是 Lincoln
Tunnel 其实就是一个直道大下坡。我靠着自重大飚到了50mph+。爽。
比较搞笑的是，途中休息站有大量的食品和各种饮料，什么 muffin, donut, 还有高科
技的运动饮料，都是赞助的。很多人在那胡吃海塞，其实30miles, 一块energy bar，
两瓶水足已。
到了新泽西，人才开始稀疏起来。River Road 还是有几个很具挑战的坡，还好这是我
常骑的路线，所以顺利完成。总之对自己的表现还算满意。 |

小时的前十分钟，如果miss了，就要等一个小时了，而且周末都是慢车，要一小时二十
分钟以上，再加上我假设你是3个人吧，每个人的来回车票20以上了。
周末开车进城其实是个好主意， Uptown的话，Columbia一带随便停，
看自由女神像要去Downtown,随便找个icon parking就可以了。
如果从downtown玩起，NJ这边住在Holland Tunnel这边最近，
比如Jersey City, Hoboken啥的，开车过了Holland Tunnel就是Chinatown,去吃个早茶
刚刚好。

而且警察要是不训练这种技能也会慢慢消失。这点其实非常有借鉴意义，千
万不要因为这个视频中片面的成分和结论从而否定了所有的内容。
home defense课上介绍军队里有些士兵训练好了在枪林弹雨的战场上也能
做到不紧张没有tunnel vision。大部分人在平时训练中都没有接近实战
的相关训练，多数还是站着打固定靶子，即便是IPSC的训练和实际枪战也有
很大区别。

发帖数: 1395 | 34 我倒是觉得应该模拟演练。不必要人为提高难度，只求尽量贴近实战。很多
人买枪是防止有人break in，那么就按照这一情形设计出不同的场景进行
演练。比如半夜三更出现情况如何应对？从不同的门进入应如何应对？而且
所有的家庭成员都要参与到演练之中。我曾经搞过这种演练，发现有很多意
想不到的问题。
针对这个视频很多人的注意力都集中在对于是否应该conceal carry这一
主题上，当然这也是这个短片的目的。但是作为这个版上的人是应该超越这
种争论，看看这里什么地方可以为自己所用？
我看完这个片子的体会是：
1. take cover有时要比第一时间拔枪更重要
2. 需要反复练习拔枪，特别是要拉开衣服，防止枪被衣服勾住。而且要练习
各种不同的衣服下拔枪的动作
3. 在公共场所选择有利于地形很重要，有时决定生死
4. tunnel vision需要通过大量的练习来弥补，而且tunnel vision
的确现实存在，这在我们home defense课中也有提及
5. 实战中心跳加速血压升高是正常的，所以自己在靶场演练的时候也要尽量
模拟这种状态，比如先做50个俯卧撑或是50个徒手蹲起然后再开始射... 阅读全帖 |

这个可以讨论的, Fuller的tunnel screen还是很deadly的. 去年至少3个TD, 包括最后
对LSU的第一个TD. 这场打老虎在Chris Brown放炮前那个play好像也是Fuller的tunnel
screen. 今年前几场似乎用不着这招, 裸跑就搞定大部分的CB了, 还不容易受伤. |

Chris Brown速度超快，但深了之后接球有问题

挡不住对方防守的速度，screen的小口袋秒破，
需要垫步上前，set up tunnel的OG Quenton Nelson也伤了脚踝。。。

lead. The one on TR was an easy 5.6 route and that is the first time I have
taken a fall on a 5.6. Second time was a 5.8 sport. I was nearing the
anchors, about 6-8 feet above the last bolt. It was a bit scary but
fotunately the terrain was vertical enough that I didn't hit anything.

BTW as I replied on another post, the course (especially the last two miles)
are too long. My GPS showed the pace for my last two miles are 9:23 and 8:
56. But the official site showes it as 10:09.
Sneaking in my mini report:
Chip time: 3:55:08. A little disappointed but still more than 30 minutes
faster than my first marathon at CIM last year.
Run with the 3:45 pacer for 3 miles. Then I felt they were too slow and ran
