双向cash就要$13,即使有EZ-pass也要$9/$11。carpool的 那种EZ-pass的plan只有NY或
者NJ的居民才可以办，东部不是除了NY的法拉盛华人就是NJ的花街白领的。走DC-NYC这
一段的人还有很多，康州的，宾州的，DE的,MD的，DC的甚至南方的来办事的也要走这
一段即使办EZ-pass也省不了多少。你个NJ的居民就不要坐井观天以为所有人都可以办
carpool的那种EZ-pass了 。

不比下图快很多，但是却多$4的过路费
第二张图的路线是可以节省至少$4过路费的路线：
1) South Bound从Holland Tunnel出来，靠左行驶进入US 1-9 South，然后进入1-9
South Express，一般并不经常堵车，堵车的是1-9 South Local，然后过了ERW机场的
出口靠右上NJ-81/I-95 Turnpike的ramp，然后就到收费站入口了
2) North Bound从I-95 N往NYC走，在13A出口出来，往NJ-81/Newark Liberty Airport
方向走，然后顺到US 1-9 North Express，最后进入Holland Tunnel前这段比I-78要快
堵车几率小很多 |

少了。rush hour从南面入纽约可以走verizano大桥。从背面最好走washington bridge

首先就是奔驰E class在设计上有一个十分之不可理喻的安排：这车的方向盘不是正对
着驾驶员的位置，而是很明显地往右平移/往右偏了一段距离。从我这个实拍的照片来
看（为了让大家更容易看清楚，我特地把驾驶座往前移，使得照片里方向盘里座垫近一
些好参照对比），这个三幅方向盘里面竖直的那一幅，是方向盘垂直中线，它是明显处
于座椅的很右侧的。我拍这个照片的时候是从正后方拍过去的，你在照片上看到的样子
就是你实际开车时的真实视觉感受。
更糟糕的是，E class因为变速器的空间位置安排，导致车子中间那个tunnel在前座腿
部那里特别宽特别占位置，所以正常人开这车是不可能坐在座椅正中间的（因为你右腿
会被那个tunnel挡住，比须朝左边弯过去踩油门和刹车），这样很不舒服——除非你是
天生歪腿、内八字腿或者罗圈腿；所以一般人最后不由自主都是坐在座椅的靠左侧那样
。但问题是方向盘却还要偏向右边去了，所以你就是下半身朝左边扭，但上半身却要往
右扭来抓方向盘开车，很畸形的一个动作。
这是一个很该死、受诅咒的设计。我每次拿到E350从机场开去旅馆那一段路都是一种折

个样子。
那一代GS从06年开始，那个时候同类型车子的AWD版本都有这个transmission tunnel
bulge，那是因为在纵置的transmission旁边要多引出一条向前的驱动轴传输动力给前
轴。不信的话看09款之前E class也是这个样子，只不过那个bulge放在右边而已。
现在新的设计把transmission体积减小了，因此那根额外伸出来的驱动轴可以紧贴着
transmission外壳走，并且不需要把transmission tunnel扩充也可以放得下。

transmission tunnel的左边。德国和美国的一样，所以bulge就去了右边。
因为要迁就不同市场（左驾/右驾），这个部件就要重新设计一套transfer case方案和
transmission tunnel结构，这种价位的产品是不可能这样做的。 |

。典型例子比如说奥迪Q3，排气管的确是缩在车里面，外面看上去美观一些。但是你看
Q3第二排座位中间却隆起了一个tunnel来给排气管腾出空间。对比你看NX的第二排地板
，基本上是平的，中间可以很舒服地坐一个人。
你要美观的话就要牺牲车内空间，看设计师怎么取舍了。丰田、Lexus那些不用考虑车
内空间的车型（跑车、后驱轿车之类的），就会把排气管给隐藏起来，乘客舱中间统统

11月中下旬签的CONTRACT
THANKSGIVING前做的INSPECTION
INSPECTION当天发现白蚁，然后了解到此房10月份银行做过一次INSPECTION和
TREATMENT。但是11月还是检查出白蚁。AGENT给我找到了10月份的INSPECTION REPORT
。REPORT 上面写着
“Shelter tunnels present on rear foundation wall of crawl-space. Active
termites in wood debris on ground in the crawl space.”我理解就是房子底下已
经有白蚁筑巢了而且白蚁还在后墙做了TUNNELS 可能已经进到SLAB里面了。
和LP想在考虑要不要WALK AWAY了。我们的AGENT说这种现象在NC是正常的。GOOGLE上看
NC确实也算美国白蚁的重灾区。而且10月份银行花了750刀请了LOCAL一个公司做了
TREATMENT。现在还有一年的WARRANTY。如果一直用这个公司，未来10年每年只有7 |

Swarm最好保留下
来鉴定一下是那一类白蚁，一般来讲美国主要是subterranean termite 和 drywood
termite。
前者危害比较大，但是前者需要有潮湿地下的巢穴，所以pest controller 才会检查你
的房子边缘有
没有mud tunnel。但是mud tunnel也不一定在房子边缘，也可能在隐蔽的缝隙和房子地
基和下水管
道的连接处。你问问他两年$1600的处理费用包括什么？如果只是房子周围加barrier和
bait那么你自
己也可以搞而且应该比他干的好。因为我最近在自家花园地里发现subterranean
termite所以正在
准备自己防治。

If the current owner did annual termite service, he should have report from the termite company saying "no active termite" or something else.
