I have never keep it connected to my Craftsman hose .

虽然打着VW的牌子，其实和大众没有什么关系。
dealer那里卖的应该也一样。7年减去新车warranty的4年，也就是3年保险罢了。
自己去买，gold plus 3年36kmile，也就是1000左右。

发帖数: 46 | 14 刚买的二手车check engine light就亮了(mechanical check时没大问题)，车行查完code说是catalytic converter坏了，换新的加labor估计要700+。
组里老外建议联系ford custom service因为ford有transferable emission warranty for 8years or 80000miles，打电话过去ford确实说如果是emission system的问题并且warranty valid的话可以免费修，不过如果不是emission的问题或者因为过去车主过错void warranty的话不给修还要收80-150的diagnosis fee。
上一任车主说过去有过类似的情况是因为fuel cap没盖紧过几天就会好，我也倾向于相信他，不过撂了三四天了灯还没灭心里不踏实。
请问高手有没有价值去ford dealer那看看呢？谢谢了！
另外在版上考古了一番，发现XX管子破了，fuel cap不紧，O2sensor，catalytic
converter等啥问题都有可能，请问这些问题都会给出同样的code吗？ |

实际上新点的车给个一个月或者1000mile的warranty跟没给差不多，没必要为这个多花
很多钱。
如果warranty时间或者mile给的长的话倒是值得考虑加点钱，具体加多少要看车子和车
况了 |

话买了升级的warranty比较省心。
60000 mi，如果平时上班远的话，可能四年左右就开完了。如果开的不多还可以。
总之我觉得花1500升级这个warranty不是很值得。不过还是要看车和个人的具体情况吧。

extended warranty 我以前買過原廠, 但未 claim 過. 買的時候研究過，基本上大多數
3rd party 的 = 騙錢的
原廠的貴, 加上大多數人不需要 claim 它. 有用性非常有限. but at least if you do need
to claim it, it's there and valid. unlike 3rd party warranty you'll almost
never get your money back if you file a claim. |

这些一共加了2900， 最后OTD22,775
还包括换brake pad, rotors，忘了是包含在哪一项里了
号称6年内不用花1分钱修车或者维护（假设没出交通事故）？？？？这是真的吗？出过一次事故以后怎么算？

出事故的第一轮修当然是保险公司出马修好了。
以后再出问题只要在warrenty之内，dealer没有理由拒绝修的。
我买的warranty， 不好意思啥都保，除了耗材，连原厂轮胎漏气都cover。
dealer没有你想的那么坏的，
正好我这个周末新车车门被一只狗（不是我的狗狗，嘿嘿）给抓花了，
照理说，这个和warranty无关，
结果dealer叫我开过去，直接给我弄好了，no charge。 还顺手把我车里面都洗的干干
净净。
我上一辆车也有warranty，去dealer那里，基本上是你说个什么问题，他们二话不说就
修。

结果上汽车保险的时候，geico的全包里面也包括了7年10w mile的机械部分保险，
250deduction。 打电话给geico,他们说把这个去掉，半年只省15块钱。
是不是toyota的extened warranty比geico的coverage多出很多呢，为啥差价这么多，
大家看该留哪个呢？

主要原因考虑该不该买是因为一年之后会离开所以这车一年后就会转手。
然后现在去extend 大概寻问了一下有两年的2500刀选择，但是一定要在5w迈以内买，
过了就更贵了。偶还有100多点就hit 5w迈了，所以要立即决定好。
住的离公司非常近，每天来回就几迈，然后就是周末去附近买菜吃饭，一般整个周末就
是10几，20迈的距离。中国超市会两三周去一次，来回50迈的样子。
不知道这个使用频率一年内会不会出大问题，主要是觉得车才开几个月估计就再开不超
过一年就会买掉，现在花钱买这个2500多的warranty 好不划算。
但是又在想会不会手上有warranty 如果能transfer 的话就prorated 了 也还划算，而
且会不会卖车的时候价格高点？
菜鸟的一塌糊涂，真是不知道该怎么弄，请教高手指点！

我今天研究了一下vw Extended warranty的详细条款，发现非常坑爹啊。
vw的extended warranty 分成以下4种，
silver, gold, gold+, platinum
我们买的是gold，当时我们担心power sliding door或是dvd之类的high tech挂了是否
也能cover, dealer做finance的人用毋庸置疑的语气跟我们说，这个是bumper to
bumper, 保everything.
但是我今天仔细研究条款时，发现gold+才包括power sliding door motor and switch.
更加扯淡的是，O2 sensor这种会导致check engine 灯亮的东西，居然也在gold plus
里才保。
也就是说，尽管我买了powertrain的质保，但是并不意味着engine灯亮的维修费用我就
不要操心了？？！！这样的保修不是太坑爹了么？
各位高手指教一下，是我理解错了，还是我被坑了，还是dealer其实也不按保修条例操
