So this quotation sets the tone of the applicability of Newton's Laws, i.e.
Newton's Laws can't be applied in the scale of "atoms".
Next, what's the scale of atoms.? Let me quote once again from the same book

我猜feynman的意思是在原子内部尺度上要考虑量子效应,如果你要做
md我想例如液氦,atom之间距离几个anstrom,还是没那么多量子效应
更何况md就是做个近似,谁说L-J potential就是对的...
更多的情况下md中的粒子是分子,model的相互作用势是分子之间的
其实我说不好,自己就在用,又不会科普,又不会想清楚最基本的道理
问物理系md的人吧。

MD其实是能够反应相当一部分事实,而且很有助于帮助我们理解nano尺度下的一些现象。
因此,做MD是没有问题的。但是,也不要太把MD当回事。充其量,MD做好了,找个地方宣
读一下论文,大家讨论讨论,意淫一番,没有人把它当真。
其实,大家只要条件许可,还是多花点时间来做实验吧。实验做好了,可以直接上sience
,nature。有几份这样的结果,运气再好点,拿个若贝尔奖什么的,也不枉把青春都放在
科研上了。
