morning. didn't feel like running at all, still went down to the treadmill
with waterbottle and gels (without caffeine). took it very easy at the
beginning, 0.5% incline, 7mph and increased by 0.1mph each mile, until 8.
4mph two hours later. took a bathroom break, and finished the remaining of
the run at around 7:50 pace. 20 miles in total avg 7:50. time |

I try not to let my heart rate get too high, and I maintain good hydration
on the treadmill. The mileage doesn't bother me as much.

I'm fully healthy. This might be the 4th 20-miler I've done with a cold. So
far so good.:)

it took a lot of discipline to limit
my recovery run to 3 miles today.:)

. I do the long run fast once every
three weeks or so. Last week's long run was fast, so this week relatively
easy. If the long run is hard, I only do
one hard run in the middle of the week, typically on Wednesday. If the long
run is easy, I then do a speed work
on Tuesday and another quality run on Friday.

that my long run helped me getting over the cold quicker, because it sped
up my metabolism.
