OLDEST RECORD-BREAKER
Ed Whitlock, 79, set a “world single age” record in the half-marathon.
That means no one who is 79 years old has ever run the 21.1-kilometre race
as fast as he did Sunday. His time was 1:34:27. Whitlock, of Milton, is also
“the oldest man to have run a marathon in less than three hours,” he said
. This was his 20th half-marathon. He said he didn’t think he was the
oldest runner out, but the Star didn’t meet any challengers. |

73 yrs old. Just to put it in
perspective, one of the easiest qualifier for hardrock 100 is western states
100. |

'll be on par with the guy above

shall wait and see. Once the guy begin chasing world records, inevitably
the body cannot take that kind of beating after a while.
