以前总认为美国人（或别的地道的英语使用者）很在乎在同一句子内时态统一。
昨天你为什么迟到？
Please tell me why you were late yesterday.
这一句对吗？时态应该统一吗？
我还以为自己英语很牛，现在发现很牛屎。
来美国多年，这么简单的话都不会说。唉! |

改的方法还有很多：

就被日常用语给颠覆了？

当然，英语老师也会有错的时候。

用语都不遵循这个时态统一原则，这个原则是不是就不存在了？

关于时态统一，普渡大学的指导材料认为，要限制时态的变化。时间框架变化时可以改
变时态。但在整段话，整个短文里，要限制时态变化，过多的时态变化容易造成混乱。

单复数的。
Five hundred dollars is enough. 教条搬规则就是 are 了。

发帖数: 141625 | 15 是啊我也觉得这跟时态没关系，would/could只是情态词的客气用法。另外同一句子时
态不一致很常见啊，所谓错综时态句，前后时态因句子内容而不同，很正常很合语法。

是昨天的事情。 我感觉如果来句 you are late yesterday 听着就别扭。
