Thanks for the detailed answers. Unfortunately I stick to all above, and don
't have any unhealthy sleeping habit during the past months.
I used to have some sleeping problem but they mostly related to not being
able to fall asleep. I did try some sleeping pills, or even rely on alcohol,
for some time, to make the problem go away.
But during the past months, the symptons suddenly switch to waking up early.
I took Melatonin, Unisom and Lorazepam (prescribed by my PCP). Melatonin

1) Try not to make up for the missed sleep during the day.
2) Do not use for bed for anything other than sleep or sex.
3) If you do not fall asleep in 30 mins, get up and do something, and try
again later.
4) If you get occasional insomnia (sleepless nights), hey welcome to the
adulthood. It is miserable the next day, but it doesn't mean you have a
problem. It is OK to miss a couple of sleeps every now and then. This is
common human phenomena. |

发帖数: 2105 | 5 move his night sleeping time forward by half an hour every 3-5 days. Set up
a procedure b/4 bed, e.g., bath, massage, lullaby, shut the light down,
close the curtain, feeding, etc.. Gradually he will realize the sleeping "
signals", and show up the sleeping sign once you down the procedure.
I did that since 3 month, and after 5month old, he can fall asleep by
himself immediately after I down all the procedure at around 7:30-8:00pm. |

发帖数: 2105 | 6 We change to 2 naps at 8 month old, and considering to change to 1 nap now (
11 month old). Baby can be awake for longer and longer time when they grow
older, so you right now you can try to let her go for a 1 hour nap during
morning time, and 1.5 hour nap during afternoon time.
BTW: babies are smart. My baby doesn't go to sleep when I try to get him
down. He can play for up to 2 hours before napping. But with my husband, he
always falls in asleep within 20 minutes... |

whether she/he is OK with the car seat. My son dislikes the carseat very
much, and it's no way to keep him there for a long time. We once drove from
San Diego to Los Angeles when he was 10 month old, and the traffic is heavy.
He kept crying for more than an hour in his carseat.
I'll face the same situation with you next year. I plan to let my husband
take my baby with flight, and I will drove the car by myself. Hopefully I

I usually hold him till he is really really sleepy (but not entirely asleep)
, and put him down on the crib. As soon as he realizes I am no longer
holding him, he will try to yell, and I will immediately put a pacifier in
his mouth to distract him. I will then pat him gently for another 2-3
minutes. That way he can nap for a while.
We don't want to use CIO either. |

My baby did not use them until the 6th week. We've been using pacifiers to

Since 15 months he went to part time day care, his activity increased during
the day. He fell asleep natually after supper -> a little activity -> warm
bath --> milk before bed --> brush teeth and wash up --> sleep and wake up
next morning.
I stayed in the same room and never bother by him.
I think at a certain stage, he will sleep train himself. |

thought if we can gradually switch to
solid food first, then we don't need to try so hard to feed her while she is
asleep. While she was about 8-
month, she was doing not too bad with jar food. I don't know what I did
caused the problem that she won't
open her mouth for feeding for self-feeding.
Maybe I need decrease the amount of formula FIRST, and try all kinds of food

白天nap的时候二三十分钟就会醒来，晚上两三个小时
夜里每次醒来都要吃奶再睡回去，弄得大人小孩都休息不好
我也努力尝试过要sleep train，在她夜里迷迷糊糊的哭的时候，下定决心想这次不给
奶吃，一定要到了四个小时再给，但等她哭了两三分钟的时候，我就breakdown了，只
能胸喂来安抚。其实那时候她还没有哭，只是喊几声。我想我的sleep train是永远也
成功不了的。只能靠引导娃自己sleep through了。
请大家帮忙分析一下，娃这么经常的醒来是什么原因啊？我怎么做才能让娃睡得更好呢？ |

some of my experience with you. When take off and landing, make sure your
baby is sucking on something, pacifier or bottles. If he fall asleep (my son
did for all landing and take off), then just let he sleep, if you want you
could help him cover his ear with jacket hat or your hand.
Make sure you bring enough formula with you to the plane. The security will

好，看着版上大家sleep training各个告捷，我也忍不住试了一下。实践证明，要因娃
施train，盲目照搬照抄是不可取的。 :)
我娃入睡一直不是问题，但是不能stay asleep。哄睡容易大概是我恰好找对了时机。
前天看宝宝困了，就把她放到crib里，看她爬来爬去的哭像笼中困兽极为可怜，宝宝哭
了二十分钟后，我终于不忍心继续下去，没能成功。也许我再坚决一点，这个办法能成
功也未可知。
总结了一下，重新来过。宝宝的问题不是入睡，而是中途醒来。我一定要强制她在不熟
悉的环境里自己入睡恐怕会创造新的睡眠问题。于是决定在大床上训。晚上还是七点半
像往常一样胸喂哄睡，等我上床的时候，她刚好第一次醒来，我稍微喂了几分钟，她就
睡回去了。到十二点，她第二次醒来，这次我给自己和老公的命令是“我们都是木头人
，不许说话不许动。”宝宝起来哼哼唧唧的找奶头，在我的脸和胸之间爬来爬去，一会
拿脸蹭蹭，一会拿手拍拍，我在一边眯着眼睛作壁上观。宝宝一直没有大哭，而是哭哭

的时候怎么也扭不过来。
刚才去看了看，果然累倒睡着了（整个过程持续30-40分钟）。本来鼻子埋了一半在手
里，我给调整成侧睡了。
后妈我不想给自己找借口，要训她的原因就两个：1现在只有我妈一个人抱着哄好久才
可以入睡，2。晚上没有办法STAY ASLEEP。以前我还可以靠奶睡哄她入睡，以及半夜醒
来再奶睡睡回去，现在奶睡都不好使了。我已经想不出别的办法了，不可能让我妈白天
黑夜地负责哄小孩睡。

the store that has huge chubby handles. Buy two of them, use one to brush,
and the other one as a mouth prop (put it between baby's teeth on the other
side, then he won't be able to bite you nor chew the working toothbrush

because it has better back support. i often put my baby in the stroller and
walk around, he sometimes falls asleep. i saw several people using city

就是婴儿配方奶粉了. 因为一直决定母乳喂养，这个research作得最少. 只知道好几种
畅销品牌，比如similac，Enfamil，nestle，gerber，etc. 其实各种牌子，差别应该
不大，都是按指标配出来的么. 每种牌子还有不同的细类. 可能还分不同的stage，给
年龄不一的小宝吃.
奶粉先不买呢. 去它们厂家的网站注册，会收到样品. 医院应该也有样品. 够用一阵子
了. Research我以后用得着再作吧. 现在能懒一点是一点拉.
不过记得从哪儿看来过一条有用信息，说是一个宝宝本来喝similac的，后来便秘拉，
换Enfamil就好了. 所以我暂时倾向Enfamil现在.
VI．Diapers and related:
1．Diapers:
纸尿裤是也. 不同大小的宝宝用不同size的尿裤: newborn，1，1-2，3，4,…每种尿裤
都标明了适用于多重的宝宝. Newborn的是给刚出生的宝宝用的,比别的size都贵.一般
医院会送一些.然后看不同宝宝的长势需要几十到100多片不等. 尽管1号的也可以给新

partial cry methods. neither of them worked.
so I had to let him cry it out for 40 mins (I checked him a few times but
didn't pick him up). after three days he knew
how to fell asleep by himself again. now he usually naps 1:40 ~ 2:00.

him cry, and when to comfort him. but just remember don't let him cry more
than one hour. it may take days, in your case nights, for him to learn how
to fall asleep on his own. |

every time. after having tried all kinds of
no-cry and partial cry methods and failed, I had to let him cry out. he
easily cried for 40 mins w/o a stop and then I

发帖数: 870 | 49 我因为一开始奶不够，是又泵又胸喂再加formula的。
宝宝一周的时候见了lactation consultant, 让我就直接换成胸喂。结果三天以后悲剧
了，宝宝体重一点没有长，我还堵奶了。所以我又换回了原来的方法。这两天发现不用
加formula了，但是不知道怎么才能从半泵半胸喂调整到全胸喂。
我因为怕堵奶还有回奶，所以每3个小时必须泵一次奶，但是宝宝的作息不可能跟我完
全一致，所以有时候她在睡觉我只好自己泵奶。
不过最大的问题是，每次胸喂，宝宝总是没法自给自足的吃饱，她可以吸个老半天还是
没有把我的奶吸完，或者就是索性fall asleep. 所以我基本从来没有一次可以就是胸
喂搞定的，总是要再胸喂了以后再把奶泵出来，然后再瓶喂。
想听听大家有什么建议没有。谢谢拉。 |
