发帖数: 476 | 2 由于工作的调动，要准备离开原来的实验室了。临走之前，想帮组里面找一个Chemist
II or Lead Chemist。主要是做HPLC，和LC-MS的测试，在Nashville南边25迈的Spring
Hill。主要的工作是主要是支持生产部门的Quality Control测试。
薪水 - 50K左右， depend on experience。
要是有管理的经验，那就更好，职位可以定位在Lead or Supervisor。
职位可以支持明年的H1-B的申请。不过最好需要的下个月底左右可以上班。
实验室一共有6个老美小本，2个老美硕士，氛围还可以。
PS：俺们是组里面的唯一的中国人。

因为在网上看到chemical engineer的工资远高于chemist。所以想转。
看到很多招聘广告说要求化工专业的BS学位。我想再读一个化工专业的MS学位，是不是
也可以？
本人30不到，单身。以后想在TEXAS定居。想在大的石油公司工作。
请问该做哪些准备？

学了这么多年化学，最后end up做的是极其简单没有技术含量的东西，心里好不甘心啊。
可是看看周围的同学，去做analytical chemist的不过是用仪器给别人测测样品的高级
技工，有在食品或者化妆品公司做formulation的，熟悉一段时间以后发现也同样没啥技
术含量，跟在读grad school时做课程project难度差不多。我承认pharm会有很多有机
的大牛整天合成一些比较难的分子吧，但剩下的如果不做faculty的话实在想不出来还有
哪些industry的公司用得上这么多年的grad school的训练。是不是我太挫了认识的人
都不够牛？

grant
which he is in charge of. Yea, it is probably not enough at Scripps. You
need at least 2 to 3 R01. I just look at NIH reporter. Personally, I never
think chemist will fit Scripps well because it is hard to get a R01 for a
pure chemist. Good thing that Pfizer took the bait and replaced the Skaggs
money.

Chemist，年薪40000，benefit 很好,医疗保险100% paid，但工作很脏很累没技术含量
。因为找了一年的工作，未果，因此也在考虑转行CS，现在刚开始学习，没什么基础。
这里的各位见多识广，这样的offer 要不要，对以后发展好不好？ 她就想找一个稳定
